Hi, ,

Have your used vinegar and if so how did you use it? I am currently filing disability so I have little income to purchase this product with so the vinegar is sounding like a good alternative for now. Thanks,

I am troubled by the price of the product. $40 for a 22oz bottle is too

much. I did not find the MSDS sheet and active ingredients list for this

product. Until I see both, I wouldn't but the product.

My guess it contains the same active ingredients as the much cheaper

products you can find here:

http://jon-doninc.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=82_2464

I am in the process of gutting out the finished basement in the 30 year old

house we bought about two years ago. The rim joist area is full of

light-colored mold. I have purchased the fiberlock shockwave and IAQ2000

product to use to kill/clean the mold. I then plan on painting the entire

floor joist/rim joist with the Fibrelock encasement paint.

I can't say the Fibrelock product is any better than novi-guard but it is

much more affordable.

It does not cost $40 per 22 oz. That price was due to the cost of overnight shipping.. The actual product for a case of 12-22oz bottles is about $70+ shipping.

Vinegar will not do the same thing, and I believe vinegar has contributed to the problem with mold here. I do my own cultures and vinegar do nothing to control it.

NOVI-GUARD kills on contact and leaves a non water soluble coating which prevents regrowth. It not only kills the spore but the root also( and seems to penetrate wood)

The ingredients listed are Phenol, Ortho-phenylphenol, Ethanol, Isopropanol.

It is anyones choice to buy or not too. I do not make anything on this product. I am just trying to help other victims like myself. I know it works, it has saved me. Considerring how effective it is and the fact that it can prevent reinfestation the price is pretty low.
