I had EBV for years before I knew mold was the problem. It is reactivated now and I figure I should sleep if my body tells me to. When I first had EBV everyone thought it was in my head, not that I wish it on anyone but I feel better knowing there are others coping with this as well. I contracted it when working in that moldy basement but never put two and two together until I joined this group.

I have had EBV (Epsteen Barr Virus) for years also, 10 years to be exact. According to the doctor that diagnosed me, 98% of the people in the world are exposed to it but only a few percent actually get it. It only attacks those with a lowered immune system. It makes sense that you got it only after an extended mold exposure. I believe my immune system is so compromised now that it's the reason I can't seem to get over this sinus infection and chest cold or so it seems like a cold. It has come back several times this winter. I think it's because it's so cold outside that it forces me to be in this mold trap more than I usually am. Hang in there... I hope some day that I won't have to deal with any of this stuff either.
