Guest guest
I am wondering if any of you know if the cadmium level in carrot juice is of concern. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease last week, and my sister insists that I drink carrot juice everyday. She has a juicer and is actually making it for me. I noticed on ithyroid.com they did some studies on it with some negative results, but on another section of the website it says carrots and carrot juice are beneficial. So, I am confused. One 8 oz glass of carrot juice is equal to about a pound of carrots. The carrots are organic, but I don't want to be ingesting something that could make me worse since cadmium is known to trigger autoimmune thyroid disease. Thanks!
