On public television tonight on the three wiseman. One of the gifts

that were given was Myrrh. It was very rare even at that time, made

from only a couple of tree saps in the middle east. It was also worth

three times more than gold. It was used for emboming, but it also had

healing powers. The healing powers turned out to be an ANTIFUNGAL.

The show also stated that myrrh was now being used to treat some

forms of cancer. Now we know why it was so valuable.

I guess they knew more in biblical times about the use of antifungals

than modern medicince. You would figure after 2000+ years we would be

more advanced.
