Guest guest
related, believe me [Williss] Thyroid Hello List Mates: This short article shows the importance of the thyroid. It is a gland often tested, seldom treated because of the inadequacy of the tests. Today's doctors seem to rely solely on blood work. How many ever really give you a complete, physical exam? When did one look at your tongue and tonsils unless you complained? No diagnosis should be made without considering the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Even then the final diagnosis is incomplete until this question is answered: " Did the patient feel better on thyroid support? " Have you made the 24 hour iodine test? Or Dr. Broda morning temperature test? Willis Once damage to the thyroid takes place it affects all the other organs....starting with digestion and absorption. Now toxins start building in the system. You can have an array of symptoms: weight gain/weight loss depending on the type of metabolism you had to begin with. This can create no appetite or binge eating, bloating, fluid retention, and skin problems (itching, eczema, psoriasis, acne, hives & other skin eruptions, skin pallor or yellowing). The immune system also starts to deteriorate since the necessary vitamins and minerals are not being absorbed. This also creates problems with amino acids. Two more problems are created: (1) repeated infections and (2) colds and upper respiratory infections. Now let’s add a bunch of antibiotics...to treat these two problems...there goes the good bacteria, allowing Candida yeast to take over which results IgG (delayed food allergies), and also opening the doors to introduction of viruses and parasites. Other symptoms of an underfunctioning thyroid are: depression, low body temperature, infertility, menstrual disorders, memory disturbances, concentration difficulties, paranoia, migraines, oversleeping and/or the inability to sleep due to gastrointestinal discomforts or anemia, “laziness” (no motivation), muscle aches and or weaknesses (low muscle tone), hearing disturbances (burning, prickly sensations or noises in the head), slow reaction time and mental sluggishness, labored breathing, hoarseness, speech problems, brittle nails, and poor vision and/or light sensitivity. All of Dr. Kellman’s patients have a wide variety of these symptoms, but all have malabsorption, deficiencies in vitamins and minerals, creating chemical imbalances resulting in neurotransmitting problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Free @Backup service!
