Sorry I didn't add this in my last post.

Dear Dsal,

That is an incredible amount of mold and with a stachybotrys count that high

you need to run!! Don't buy that house, that mold is really toxic and to

have that much says there's more to it than just in the air. I hope you

find one that is suitable. I would do that testing again until it came back

with no stachy.

Strangely enough, your husbands symptoms are not unusual. Lupus is hard to

dianose because the same things they look for in testing are also present

with other diseases as well as with a compromised immune system. He should

be kept away from any house that has a basement really because very rarely

will you find them completely dry and mold free.

I know this is a repeat, but would you not buy this house under any

condition, even if the mold were cleaned up? The inspector suggested that

we might want for the owners to remove the carpet, clean the floor, and then

we could have another mold test done. What if the mold was just in the

carpet, and removing it would take care of the situation? Or, would you

just say, " Forget this! Let's just look for another house. "

And, for all of you listers: Do you agree? Do you really think we'd be

better off just getting a house without a basement?? (I like the storage a

basement offers....)

Thanks again!!
