Guest guest
, I agree. My cat is hissing right now. Her vet is better than most doctors. How DARE anyone tell someone to do put their pet to sleep. I wonder and shudder at the thought. Mold hurts animals as well. I know because it is part of the reason that my cat died almost died almost 4 years ago. My current cat became ill because of the mold, and once away from the mold is doing fine. I have been searching some sites that talk about mold hurting our precious pets. When I was exposed to the toxic mold ( Stachy-sp?) I tested positive for being allergic to mice! That was ( I am assuming) that because the mice are in the walls and carry the poisons with them. Of course when my charming slumlord at that time moved me upstairs to a " mold free " apartment there were mice in it. I am guessing now that that apartment was contaminated also. This is my second exposure to mold in my apartment. If one more person asks me how this could happen twice I am going to scream. Here in Oakland, CA., all it takes is a good slumlord who doesn't care. I have been ill for a while and I am sorry I have not responded to the email I received during my last post. I will very soon and I thank all of you for your kindness. I finally received a diagnosis about my curent illness, and I have Interstitial Cystitis-- a chronic and painful condition often not diagnosed properly in women. During my reasearch on the net I could connect it to mold exposure and other toxins I was exposed to in my apartment--my doctor agreed. If anyone else has this condition or symtoms please let me know. Again, I wish everyone the best and my cat and I send healing purrs to all. My dog suffers greatly because of the mold in my house - her current level of severity was triggered by a rabies vaccine. There is a lot of information by vets on the Internet relating to the harm vaccines can cause cats and dogs - especially those with compromised immune systems. Guest guest
My cat perked up considerably after we got out of mold hell. I've run across a few people who read Hulda s book and slaughtered their pets. When the doctors told me to kill my cat, I cried and thought about if for a while. When everyone was calling me a liar, my cat was my best friend. My cat suffered right there with me and there was no doubt that the mold was affecting her too. I decided that there was no way in hell that I was going to betray my best friend the way doctors, " friends " and family let me down. My cat and I are going to make it or go down together. So far, we've done pretty well. I feel guilty and weak that for a brief moment I even considered betraying my friend. It will never happen again. Anton Cat was my soul cat and I still mourn his loss although it has been almost 4 years since he died. I might forgive my landlord for what she did to me, but NEVER for what happened to Anton. He also had cancer and I while I passed my 5 year mark ( now 9 years) he passed his 2 year mark and I believe the mold attacked his immune system and the cancer returned. Meow Cat ( who is curled up on the bed next to me at the hotel) is feeling so much better now out of the mold. I berate myself that I didn't notice how sick she was becoming-- since it was not respiratory-- but fatgue and since there was dry rot I could never get those fleas off of her even with Frontline and Advantage. She is an indoor cat. My doctor won't give her any vacines that are known to attack the immune system.. We are lucky that she has a great vet. Tomorrow I begin the pack out of my apt. with a restoration crew and I dread it. Tossing what I don't need and what they don't think can be restored. The cost will be more than 15,000 dollars for this plus testing my belongings after the contents are cleaned. If anyone has wise words on this issue, I would appreciate it. My generous landlords (NOT) are paying for this. Now that I have been diagnosed with IC my condition is not very good. I checked the IC board and many believe that Sick Building Sydrome and exposure to other poisons caused this illness. I am very scared.
