My son has been on this drug for many years and his liver enzymes used to

get trashed. Once I learned this was causing more seizures I began to give

him the herb milk thistle long known for its use to support liver function.

We also include dandelion, burdock root and raw beets regularly in our

diets to help with liver issues from the drugs.

Hope this helps

Hi there

What is 'milk thistle'? And how does Vit E protect the liver?

While I am on the same subject, what do you think about L-Carnitine. Is that

worth taking to help protect the liver.

I personally take valpoic acid/sodium valproate and am certainly worried about

long-term effects on liver?

Anyone on here been taking it alone for years and been OK?
