Guest guest
I just saw a doctor of osteopathy here in Las Vegas, NV. He not only takes medicare but he spent 2 hours with me. He is the first doctor I have seen in years who knows about mycoplasma and is personal friends with Aristo Vojdani of ImmunoScience in Beverly Hills. He is also up on thyroid and hormone problems. I will post more when my lab results come back and I have a bit more on his approach. He was not at all disturbed that I have been taking Zithromax for 6 yrs, and he is looking over the supplements I am taking. a > From: " Bob " <blue74730@...> > I just assumed that Dr Shoemaker did not accept medicare patients and maybe > not even insurance as Dr Cheney and the other specialist do not. Guest guest
According to his book he uses a drug called cholestyramine which is used to fight cholesterol problems. It is a powder that you mix with juice or ice cream. I am not sure of the dosage. He has treated many people who have been exposed to different toxins. It seems that this can help within days!!! He also uses some type of vision test and if you fail this test it somehow helps him determine that you have been exposed. It is really very interesting. Guest guest
. Thank you for sharing your story about Dr. Shoemaker. It is a blessing to hear about your progress and gives us all hope, which is hard to maintain in these circumstances, as you well know. I have referred several people to Dr. Shoemaker, although I have not taken myself to land yet. I am not a doctor yet (currently seeking my PhD in Naturopathy) but his system is not rocket science to comprehend and understand, especially if one relates to the human anatomy and physics of such. I plan to take my son and I to see him as soon as school lets out. You are right, he is a genius and a well documented one at that! I am currently treating with Dr. in Spring, TX who is a genius in his own light as well with proper diagnoses of mold exposure and also, from what I am told, as an expert witness - which in a lot of cases is desperately needed for proper accumulation of damages and such. Do you know if Dr. Shoemaker is an expert witness in this regard? Again, thanks for sharing and my hat is off to you and yours for seeking and locating your way to wellness! The reason is because Cherry and I are better to the point of being just shy of where we were before the mold (which hit both of us very hard in '94)!!! Praise God! Dr. Johanning offered no help or hope. The Homeopath in Athens just cost us a ton of money with no recovery. The neutriceuticals did little except empty our bank account. Then we met Richie Shoemaker. The man is a genius. The man is compassionate. His contrast sensitivity test is conclusive and acurate. His Cholostyremine protocal works!!!!! I have been off of the CSM for over a year and only need a therapeutic dose on occasion, typically if I expose myself to any of the molds which held me in their hellsih grasp for about 6 or 7 years. Within a day, I'm over the reaction to the exposure. My nosebleeds (which were daily and as many a 3 a day) have subsided to the point that I guess I am only having about 1 every 2 or 3 months!!! The itching and tickling sensations which would keep us awake for nights on end (and these were the absolute worst symptoms!!) have only returnned to remind us of the torture they can subject us to maybe once a month. And now an antihystemine can keep these symptoms at bay. 4 years ago, NOTHING could relieve any of these symptoms. Then came Richie. Cherry still is taking CSM, and in very high doses. In the past year, her recovery has been amazing! She has lost about 70 lbs. Her hair has come back (i.e. eyebrows, eyelashes, and very thick like before on her head) Her cognitive functions have returned almost completely. Just last night, she noticed she was able to read out loud as quickly as she used to be able to. Much of our fatigue and joint pain has subsided, (it's now about 7:30 am and before the mold on a saturday I would never rise before 10!!) So...... Does Shoemaker have the magic bullet?? If you ask me, I give a loud YES!!! Regards, Haughton

Guest guest
Does Dr.Shoemaker take medical insurance? How are his rates?Shoemaker takes Medicare and insurance. But you will find that your insurance may not cover all the tests. He tries to work with you and not order as many tests if your insurance doesn't cover. In my case he ordered the whole farm because Medicare covers all of them. Interesting. a Carnes

Guest guest
Barb, I am mentioning the first two biomarkers he and Dr. Ken Hudnell found while studying two different groups of people exposed to mold at the Princess Anne County Court House and a church group in MD near Fort Meade (NSA). Their focus is the inability of some people to metabolize toxins as fast as others and the effects on the nervous and immune systems or neurotoxicolgy. This is also a problem with pharmaceuticals and chemical sensitivity. It is all about each individual's dose and rate of metabolism.........period and end of story. In fact, they have gone to great lengths to record typical " allergy " reactions so they can positively say the reaction are " toxic " reactions. People acutely affected by mycotoxins or " biotoxins " have high levels of leptin and low levels of MSH. Leptin is a biochemical that is converted to the hormone, MSH in the brain. MSH regulates a plethora of functions in the body. There are other biomarkers. I will leave it to Dr. Shoemaker and Dr. Hudnell to describe it further since it is their highly intelligent work. I heard the study will finally be published this January. Yes, the medical profession sucks rotten eggs since they covort or prostitute to the drug companies and/or insurance carriers. However, Dr. Storey (sp?) from the University of Connecticut and Dr. Hodgson from the the US Veterans Administration just released a great study in the Journal of Occupational & Environmental Hygiene in the December issue with Dr. Chin Yang (Microbiologist at P & K Micorbiology - Cherry Hill NJ)and others. It focuses on pulmonary (lungs) effects when there are signs of " moisture indicator species " of mold exposure with 103 people. The study was funded by the US EPA. I think over time different groups will discover different mechanisms. I still readily recommend Dr. Shoemaker at: http://www.chronicneurotoxins.com (410) 957-1550 Save yourself the misery and financial drain. Go to the best first. It takes time to get an appointment.
