any experience with post viral shingles symptoms, and

what does this have to do with mold?

Latest docs are seeing what they are calling a Herpes

simplex like infection in my eye. All cultures for

herpes are negative. I have never had a cold sore or

simlar sypmtoms in my life. I have had eye infections

for 1 year straight now but this is the first time

they are described as herpetic looking lesions. They

were prevously dx as blepharitis, severe, severe worst

case they've seen dry eye syndrome.

Dr. Grey had commented that the UV light showed they

were positive for mold. Dr. Sneller on consult

yesterday said he didn't know what Dr. Grey meant and

seemed to be questioning Dr. Grey. I have not decided

whether to have Sneller come to my home for mold ID

and eval readings because of this latest change in

diagnosis opinion looking toward viral/herpetic vs

mold as cause. Cost estimate is $1500

the opthamologist said herpes doesn't always culture

out. Now ENT yesterday says he thinks I have trigenial

nerve disruption/inflammation as a post viral/herpetic

side effect. I am to see a neruologist in a week. He

wanted me to go back into a hospital yesterday for

pain mngmt but I refused. I am in a lot of pain but

don't like taking pain meds. he said the pain would

get worse

The herpes like ulcers were found on my eyes and

genitals about 2 weeks ago after fevers of 102 for 2

days. I am told they are not sexually transmitted.

the pain is getting worse. I am home. Thanks for

reading and ideas. in Tucson
