Guest guest
I was referred to this list from the immmune list. I need some help as I decide if my symptoms are solely pointing to my home or car as the sick building environment, and not a general auto immune issue (which I am being treated and still being tested 9 months later for potential lupus, etc. diagnosis) and/or are not general allergic or MCS that will not respond if I vacate my home. I live in Tucson area. Great health. Moved here and that day (actually was my initial househunting trip) became very ill after going for a brief hike in Ventana area and then passing out at my office (my first time in that building ever) in Tucson. My illness woes have never ceased since the day I moved here but have gradually become much worse and I am now on m edical leave and my job is threatened when I return. I did not move into the house that is of concern until 60 days later and I did not purchase my current vehicle which also is causing me so many problems until 1 year after moving to Tucson. A brief overview is posted here regarding my hospitalization in the " I am contaminated " room in Benson, AZ Ugh, I have been sick. I am not having fun. Referred by someone on the list to dr. grey. Saw him twice. 2nd time went for routine followup asthma test and ended up with paramedics wanting to intubate after laragynal swelling and anaphylatic reaction to asthma med after first part of test. Not fun. Later that evening noticed large ulcer lesions on both eyes, hands, and genitals. Then 2 days later, end up in benson hospital ER and then admitted to the " I'm an allergic monster Room 113 " ....Beware. Don't get sent there unless you have a hard stomach for being treated like a pariah. What a scary experience. I continue recuperating at home but not having much fun. Doc discovered what they are calling ulcers in my eyelids, genitals (small), and mold etc lit up the room as they checked me with a UV light. They were surprised at what I looked likle under the UV light and were surprised at what their staff looked like that had come in contct with me. Do I have cooties or what? I have lost 22 lbs since Feb 1 but had my first weight gain this month gaining 1.5 lbs today after finding food I could tolerate today. Yippee. I continue on medical leave. I am now referred back to my autoimmune doc to evaluate the many blood abnormalities found. Cholintraese marker was in norm range but we don't have a baseline. Very low WBC numbers and low platelets. Other findings. Getting worried as I proceed to more specalists next week. Am I set to retire at the grand age of 42 and 1 month or should I be packing for an upcoming funeral. a bit scared but positive nonetheless. After all, I have a 2.5 year old who has turned into a major headbanger all of a sudden since my health deteriorated and his nanny went home to her country. He was kicked out of his third child care environment today. Now what> more later for those who want to know. I hesitate to document all the blood abnormalities since I don't know know whyich are related to what. Dr. Grey said to evacuate my house. I think he exaggerates and is talking before we know specifics. I have issues in the house and out....but none when outside Tucson. go figure. maybe just time to move.
