Guest guest
, what would you do in this case? Is it possible the girl took contaminated belongings with her? Would you think she should get tested for mycoplasma etc? a Hi a and everyone, Ummm...I am not really sure about the whole Lyme Disease thing, but thanks a bunch for your ideas. When we lived in the moldy house, my sister always had headaches and nose bleeds! We moved out in November, and she had those flu-like symptoms the entire week after Christmas. We indeed thought it was JUST the flu until she couldn't walk cos she was so dizzy! Then she was better for about a day, and then got the symptoms again. Her doctors ordered an MRI cos they thought it was a brain tumor, but they found Demyelination instead. Thanks for your help! ~Dani

I've spent the last six years going to CFS support groups and telling my story to people reeking with mold and complaining of all the same symptoms but they just don't want to hear it. It's the autoimmune response triggered by the toxic encepalopathy. Just like Shoe says, these toxins just don't want to go away on their own. I think it would be worthwhile to get tested for myco to build up a conceptual model of the etiology. Plus we need to figure out the role of Lyme, but like Shoe says, he's seeing the cytokine response w/o Lyme in the presence of the HLA + MARCoNS. As far as the Mono goes, I've seen elevated EBV in people in moldy buildings plus Dr. Shoemaker suspects that the HHV6a in Incline Village is an exceptional cytokine inducer. (a will be happy to explain all of this I'm sure) -
