What kind of responsibility do they take when handing over meds to you ? , Here is my continued information on piracetam and side effects: one brandname (nootrop) used to be a party drug of the medical university crowd in the early seventies. I tried a literal translation: Indication: symptomatic treatment of chronic brainorganic functional problems, adjuvans after ischemic attack, and post-commotio syndrome (e. g. vertigo, headache), treatment of postanoxic myoklonus syndromes, treatment of dyslexia in not mentally retarded children counterindication: Patients with cerebral hemorrhages, terminal kidney insufficiency (allergic reaction) pregnancy and breast feeding caution when driving: reaction time prolongued at beginning and increasing of dosis Restrictions: Patiens with problems in hemostasis, major surgery with heavy blood loss. Company warns: caution with children suffering from phenylketonuria. Granulated formula contains Aspartam. check patient every three months whether treatment still necessary side effects: not so frequent: asthenia, isolated headaches, ataxia, problems with balancing body, mental confusion, hallucination, i.v. application can cause pain in spot of injection, thrombophlebitis, fever ( K: They also present a " cue number " of side effects. Further investigation on this yielded the following result:) Side effects: The side effects on the central nerve system may be part of the brain organic psychosyndroms, so diagnostics often fail to seperate symptoms of the disease from unwanted effects caused by the drug. Direction of patient's reaction (irritation or sedation) is supposed to rise from the inidvidual reaction of patient and his/her psychological diagnosis, and can hardly be foreseen in the individual case. side effects in adults taking doses from five gramms upwards per day: nerve system and psyche: a)increased psychomotor activities, disturbed sleep, insomnia, nervousness, aggression depression, moodyness, anxiety (occasionally) c) somnolence (single cases) d) Lowering of seizure threshold (exceptional cases with neuronal overarousal) Caution: Maintain therapy with anticonvulsants, even if subjective improvement is reported, when piracetam is administered! e)vertigo f) in children: hyperactivity, insomnia, somnolence, depressive mood and increased irritability, anxiety (rare cases with doses higher than three gramms per day) Gastrointestinal tract g) Gastro-intestinal ailments ( nausea, vomiting, occasional abdominal ailments) Electrolytes, metabolism, Endocrinic system h) weight gain (occasionally) i) sexual stimulation, increase of libido Heart, blood circulation j) Hypotonia, hypertonia (rare) Immune system k) Allergic reactions (isolated cases) toxic reaction: s. above symptoms interactions: boosting derivates of cumarine My best wishes to you, Katharina

Guest guest
Amy Finally, my email works, sorry folks, I have been off for a while. I think the most important thing to address is metal metabolism. Please go to www.childscreen.org Click on Team members and Bill Walsh. Read his entire webpage. After your done with that, then click on Umesh PAdhye, who has a page you should not miss. Connect those two dots, then go to proposals for study #2 Autism and Iron Overload. It is my opinion, that many children with autism and epilepsy are suffering from a skewed metal metabolism and that iron overload, and skewed nutrient metals can cause seizures gut problems and a host of other problems in our kids. Think of it like a triangle, copper is usually high in our kids, zinc is low, b vitamins and mag are low and then iron soars upwards, even if your anemic. This makes for the chemistry in the brain to become overexcitic, damaged, stripped if you will of the nutrients and energy it needs. In essence I think seizures are an expression of a toxic overload and undernourished brain and even a birth damage. The gut must also be addressed, by addressing the gluten and cassein and phenolic loads, as well as the viral immuno problems of autism. You can read much of my proposals to see why I think autism and even epilepsy for that matter for a lot of cases can be controlled or prevented. I know I sound bold in that statement, but I believe it to be true. I also believe in the mind body connection, and that our kids are stressed out with a lot of cortisol which is the worse hormone to be expressed in the brain. Read also Dr McCandless's book " children with starving brains " as a starting point to understand the complexity of this issue. Oxidative stress, hormones, diet, stress itself, gut problems, viral problems, and exposures to heavy metals in vaccines and the environment and the womb itself, then birthing our kids incorrectly is the reason we are up against the fight of our lives, and the realization that we TRUSTED our kids into autism. Genetics have little to do with this, other than realizing that genes and environment play a heavy hand into the epedemia of autism and that we are passiing down ruined DNA and adducts from adult exposures to the same. IMHmommy opinion. Pres of Childscreen www.childscreen.org Re: [ ] Re: piracetam? continuing, and D Hi Amy, best follow the information of , member of this list!
