, That's awesome your doc would treat you even if you weren't by the "standards" of hypo on your blood work! You are very lucky! Glad to hear that at least you don't have the dreaded HASHIMOTOS! Love ,

Patty, we sound so much alike! Both of us having Hashimtos & I also tested positve for Rheumatoid factor(and exhibit definitve symptoms of RA) When were you explanted, and how much better has your stiffness gotten since? Also, where are you the most stiff? seems that is the last thing to go for me. Still have a little problem with that, but not as bad. Thanks!

Hi ,

It was very strange, because I had the elevated rheumatoid factor (I think my highest number was 159), but I never had any stiffness or joint swelling. I did have some light joint pain in my hands, but it went away after 3 days of fasting, and never really came back at all. So I guess I have been very lucky in that regard--but I only had my implants for 9 months, so maybe I caught it before a whole lot of damage was done. Well, that's stupid to say, because a whole lot of damage was done! (I was sooooo sick, I felt like I wanted to die for about a year and a half!) But where my joints are concerned, I did not have alot of damage, never really felt horribly stiff. I was explanted in Feb 98, so my 5 year anniversary for explant is coming up in a few months. Can't believe it has been 5 years. That sounds like such a darn long time to have suffered from this garbage.

I probably had the Hashimoto's quite awhile before I was actually diagnosed with it this summer. I was just too stubborn about going to doctors after the way I was treated when I got sick. I blew them off for the most part, but I always thought I had a thyroid problem after educating myself about alternative medicine and implant problems. I had blood work done in Feb. 2001, and the doctor didn't say anything about it then, so it is possible that it has developed within the last year or so, or else the doctor didn't request specific enough tests back then. Either way, I don't like it! But at least it is treatable with a fairly simple and cheap hormone.

, I hope your stiffness will go away for good like my slight joint pain did. Have you ever tried fasting? I swear by it--it makes me feel lighter, healthier, cleaner, just so hard to explain, but I do think it was what helped me the most when I was healing. Ask Dr. Mercola about it--I wonder if he recommends it? I read the book by Dr. Fuhrman, "Fasting and Eating for Health" and that was what convinced me. It worked like a charm.

Take care,

Love, Patty

Patty, I know he recomends it. I just thought I would take all the detox suplements first for three months, and take it easy, and then see if I should try it. The only problem is , I have my 2 year old son who realy eats the energy out of me, and have always worried about being realy fatigued during fasting. Do you feel that way when you fast? And how long do you fast? Do you drink just water, or do you have juices too?

How many times have you fasted like in the last year? I know I should with all these toxins they found on my live cell, but it makes me a little nervous to try it. I will see if that book is at the library, and if not I will add it to my collection. Seems lately, the more knowledge I have on something, the more I am apt ot go for it. I have heard that sometimes you need to fast only a little in the beginnig, because all the toxins releasing can make you feel worse for a while(seems you always get worse while trying to get better)Did that happen to you Patty? Thanks

Thanks , and thats what I am nervous about. Bedrest? HA! My two year son runs circles around me, and I am his favorite person in the world, I can hear it now "Mommy, Mommy -Love me" as I am trying to take a nap.I cant even fall asleep in front of him! Thats why I was asking Patty, if she felt fatigued during a fast. Because I cant afford that. However, if she felt great, maybe...I could try it. I think I am going to try it for at least one day, like you did. See how I feel, and if that too much, I could always do like a juice fast, where I eat nothing but liquids, and only potent healing juices made from fresh veggies that have been tossed in the juicer. That is realy nice of you to offer to send me that book to read, but first let me see if they have that book at the library! Love,

Patty. Oh my lord. I have doing green juices every morning, with either three or four of the following: spinach, romaine, green beans, parsley, green apple to curb the bitter, small amounts of green peppers (I know these cause inflammation) , yellow squash, cucumber, zucchini, and some times carrots! I cant believe this stuff gave you brain fog. Well, actually, mine has improved a little, but not all that much. HMMMM Maybe, I should talk a little more in detail about this with Dr. Kolb asking why it would cause or heighten brain fog, and cut it down a bit, and see how I feel. The green juices weren't a request on Dr. Kolb, but Dr. Mercola. But, definlty to fast. I am going to do the lemon, maple syrup, and water one this weekend. Anybody want to join in?

You know I was getting pretty distressed over the weekend, because I was having some new symptoms starting. Made me feel like I was getting MS. My left foot kept tingling, and feeling numb on the bottom. All weekend!!!! I couldn't shake it, and I was feeling pretty bad. Well, I don't call Dr. Kolb personally all the time with little questions, and I don't like to feel like this little leech asking all the time"Can I do this? " I know she is so busy, and I can always research. Anyway, we talk about every week or so, and she called me last night out of the blue, concerned about the raw egg thing in my case. I know it is one of the highest food allergies, and I am susceptible to react to a lot of food allergies due to a sensitive hyper immune system. But Dr.Mercola is so for it! Anyhow, she told me that a lot of times food allergies will manifest symptoms similar to neurological symptoms, and just cut back for a day or two, and see if I get those twitches. Not one all day so far. HMM

So we will see Patty, are you or is anybody here allergic to eggs, or any other food items? I know for sure I am to dairy, and wheat. Girls, fill me in on this one. Let me know!

By the way , this weekend is my daughter's 11th birthday, and we are having a party with pizza, cake and ice cream, otherwise I would fast with you! And yes, about the food allergies, I definitely have them. Cooked eggs I can't do, but raw I seem to be able to handle.

Patty
