Ana Castillo, 35, died at Mercy Hospital Wednesday night following surgery at the Camilla Cosmetic Institute at 1800 S.W. 27 Ave. Rescue workers said Castillo went into cardiac arrest during a breast augmentation and was transported to the hospital. A source within the Florida Department of Health said that the clinic is licensed as a professional association, not a surgery center, so any surgery performed there was against the law. Channel 10 has also learned that Dr. Husaker (pictured, right), who performed Castillo's surgery, has had several complaints against him, and once lost his license. According to Health Department records, Hunsaker's license was suspended in December 1996 after he was accused of sexually molesting three patients as they came out of anesthesia. An administrative law judge returned his license in 1997. According to Health Department records, there have been four additional complaints against Husaker, two since his license was reinstated. Hunsaker said he will not make a statement regarding Castillo's death because "he was told by the Castillo family not to." Soto, the Castillo family's attorney, said, "Mr. Castillo and his children are distraught … we are in the middle of investigation and it would be premature to make any determination at this time." Castillo and her husband moved to the United States from Guatemala, and have three young children. Castillo was employed as a nurse's assistant.
