Hi ,

Thanks for letting me know. It's kinda funny knowing that he put that up there. I really wanted to get treated by Dr. Nicholson for any possible mycoplasma, but I couldn't really fit going to Long Beach into my schedule, much as I wanted to. I have checked out his website thoroughly, and was really impressed. I was also worried about any possible exposure my husband might have had, too, but in the end, we both just hit the garlic pretty hard, and I was a little scared to be taking antibiotics for so long. It is the only thing left that I kind of worry about in terms of residual problems, because an alternative doctor here in Las Vegas told me I did test positive for mycoplasma too, but he didn't say which strain. I think that makes a big difference. He gave me some homeopathic pills to take, and I couldn't bring myself to take them, for some reason, I guess knowing the principal behind homeopathics, I just had this mental block against taking the pills. I still have them.

What will you do about treating for candida while on the antibiotics for your mycoplasma, ?

Patty

Get out of here, Patty I was wondering that realy, but I thought no way it is Patty, that would be too wierd! But it sounded so much like you. Did you ever get treatment? Or no? I found it on WWW.IMMED.ORG under questions on the bottom of the page -on the advise of Dr Kolb, and after finding out that I tested for Pneumonia IGG mycoplama as well as for all my viral problems recently. Great questions by the way, you summed them all up perfectly. Just like I would have asked.

Keep me posted on the outcome of your antibiotic therapy, as I am very interested. I agree with all the symptoms you are dealing with, you need to be pretty aggressive in your treatment. I hope it works for you and you start feeling better, although I know some feel worse (that good old Herxheimer reaction) for awhile.

I think Kathy (mikat) is on antibiotics too. Hey, Kathy, are you on a similar protocol?

Darn, I wasn't aware that mycoplasma left untreated made you more susceptible to cancer! Now I am beginning to wonder about it, although I have been feeling pretty good, really great, actually. I've been taking some supplements that have brought my brain fog back a bit, so I will see how well I do now that I've stopped taking them.

I know what you mean about the reading, researching and all that--you are not one to sit back and have pity parties it sounds like, that is for sure! That is the way I think we tend to become when we know that most doctors don't have a clue about how to treat us, so we are almost forced to become our own doctors, most definitely our own advocates in our healing. You're doing great. My husband thought I was doing overkill, too, but some day you will be appreciated for all the knowledge you have gained. As my husband says, my getting implants saved his life. Now that's a good one!

When you get frustrated in your healing journey, remember how long it took me--4 years to feel human again. You'll get there!

Love,

Patty

Patty, I feel the same way when it comes to holisitic medicine, even after my c section for the birth of my son, and after explant I didnt take any pain meds at all(but for one day) I hate taking meds! I even hate to take natural thyroid! But, after all I have read on mycoplama, and with all my symptoms and with the painful "rheumatoid arthrits" I am going totake them as long as needed to help me with my healing along with the silicone protcal for eating with supplements. I will be drinking extra prurple Lapache tea for the yeast, and its great for multiple infections, as well as the raw garlic, and double the probiotics to keep it at bay. Mycoplasma if left untreated also put you at a higher chance of cancer, and having this "suspicious" nodule scares the hell out of me. Actually Dr Mercola didnt see the need to test for mycoplama and gave me the minocin prescription according to my symptoms , but it was Dr Kolb who ran the tests as she didnt want me on a antibiotic protocal without knowing for sure if I had it. I only had two of the 8 possible infections tests run (quest only tests for 2) and I tested positive for the one, so who knows what else I could have. I hope this will help me greatly! I only have been studying on the internet over 2 hours everynight for the past 8 months! My mom says I may be a little over consumed, but I think you understand, I feel like after explant i am in a race for my health, and the more i know, the better chances I have to recover. Of couse, I keep asking God daily in my journals and through prayer , that he will heal me completley, but this may be his choice for my healing, a slow learning type of healing. I dont know, but I keep on hoping, and reading! That is still so wierd about your letter! Ha HA

Kathy, Thank you so much for your lengthy explanation on how you have been feeling, you are a great sourse of information on this topic, as well as very comforting. Thank you. Maybe I will join a group on the "Road Back." There site if also an inspiration, and have been reading it for about a year now. I will contact you if you dont mind as I get further into this program, and may have more symptoms. I did feel a little "whoozy" this morning after my second dose. Did you also have your husband treated, as it can be contagious? God Bless you Kathy, I also feel like God has led me to this group, to all the girls, to Dr Kolb, to the Road back Protocal. I know all of this is in His plan for me. I just know it. I have had a feeling since the night I sat down and cried about a year and a half ago, wondering what was wrong with me, and suddenly , something (I know it was God now) told me it was the implants, (no way I thought, saline are so safe) and that if I removed them, I would heal completly.I didnt want to believe this for one minute, but I got on the internet, was on all night, didnt sleep a wink, found these great girls on this site, and the journey began. I have just had this feeling within the depths on me, that I will heal , it may take a while, I may not have anymore kids, I dont know alot of things-but I know this one thing: I will get better, and I believe it! I am glad you are getting better as well Kathy, you know we are blessed to even have a thing called the interent..imagine the hopelessness, despair, and the lonliness we would all be experiencing. And most of us would probably be still sick with nasty implants doing their dirty work. Love you,
