Guest guest
Thank you who responded to my questions. I did get my right breast implant that was said to be " ruptured " (it wasn't, just a fold showed up in the mammogram.) replaced on Dec. 5th and the Ins. pain 100% for everything. It was United Healthcare. Since Jan. 1, we now have Blue Cross Blue Shield. As far as I know, Mentor was to replace the implant since they have a " Lifetime Guarantee " . Ha! Ha! I am waiting to hear if they did replace it since it wasn't ruptured. The radiologist said it looked like a " shift and possible leakage " but the Dr. I was sent to said I needed to get it out right away!! The new implant already looks like the old one. Rippley and half of it goes under my arm. I wanted to have both of the implants removed but Ins. said no to the left side since there wasn't anything wrong with it. I had my silicone ones removed in 1994 as they were both ruptured. Then the Mentor came into the picture. Left on replaced in 94 & 96 I think. Right ones in '98 & 2002. I know I am being crazy getting them replaced but I promised myself and my husband I would get them both out with the next rupture. I will work 2 jobs to pay for it if I have to. (I don't even have the energy to work my part-time one now!) I think I would love to find an Atty. who would help me go up against Mentor for their faulty products I have had. I think I will e-mail Oprah and try to get on her show. Fat chance of that!! I am thankful I now have someone to share my complaints with!! Hope I don't bore you. Take care.
