#8 of 10 / Will Breast Implants Interfere with Mammography?

Silicone and saline breast implants significantly obscure breast tissue, potentially delaying detection of cancer. An MRI or more comprehensive mammogram will be necessary for safety's sake. An implant may also rupture during mammography due to squeezing.
