I found this and thought it was very interesting, more proof that garlic is good for us, and is as effective or even more so than traditional anti-biotics. We just had someone on the group mention their past history with Lyme disease--, I think that was you? You might want to go splurge on a bunch of heads of garlic and get to work! And don't cook it--you need to eat it raw to get all the health benefits. If you need some ideas, let me know because we have become experts in our house on ways to get down raw garlic! This is good advice for all women sick from implants, as the majority of us suffer from bacterial infections.

6. Anti-Spirochete Treatments

Conventional medical treatments for spirochetal infections mainly use antibiotics to suppress the spirochete. Often many antibiotics are used in a rotation. The method I used to search for herbal remedies was to compare the anti-microbial spectrum of the antibiotics and of the herbal remedies. I found that some herbal remedies have a similar, or even wider, spectrum of anti-microbial effects than that of antibiotics.

Allitridi (2-Propene-1-sulfinothioic, S-2-Propenyl ester):

Allitridi is a highly purified and concentrated garlic extract. It is a precursor of Allicin and when it is metabolized in the body, it turns into allicin. It has two versions: liquid vials and capsules, at a dosage of two to three milligrams Allicin (commercial name for allitridi) per kg of body weight per day to be able to replace antibiotics. Pharmacological studies have demonstrated that Allicin has a very wide anti-microbial spectrum. It can suppress bacteria, myco-bacteria, protozoa, fungi, and certain viruses. I have used this highly purified Allicin to treat many opportunistic infections of AIDS patients for more than 15 years, with excellent results. Its anti-bacterial effects cover the spectrum of those antibiotics used for LD. The advantages of Allicin use include the fact that it has almost no toxicity (its LD50 is 67 times higher than its therapeutic dose) and it will not encourage fungal (yeast) over growth, because it suppresses fungi. Most importantly, because its molecule is very small (molecular weight is 162.27), it can easily go through the BBB to treat infections of central nervous system, which is a major problem in chronic LD, the most damaging effects of which are on the central nervous system. Newer antibody testing methods show that more than 75 percent of LD patients have some degree of neurological infection, with symptoms including headache, facial paralysis, memory loss, difficulty in concentration, foggy mind, etc. To deal with neurological symptoms, the remedies must be able to penetrate the BBB. I have found that with the use of Allicin, patients’ neurological symptoms can be eliminated quickly. When Allicin is combined with anti-inflammatory herbs, chronic neurological symptoms can be improved within a few weeks. Allicin has been used in China to treat infections of central nervous system such as cryptococcus meningitis and toxoplasmosis, exhibiting a cure rate above 80 percent. The therapeutic benefits of Allicin have been demonstrated in many of my patients who, after being treated for a few weeks, got relief from mind fogginess or chronic Bell’s palsy. It can also quickly improve memory and concentration. Because allitridi has not been extensively used, bacterial resistance to it is rare. These features are ideal for treating chronic LD.
