Guest guest Posted January 19, 2003 Report Share Posted January 19, 2003 Hi ladies, My hubby and I have had enough--we are going on a 1:12 diet tomorrow for 10 days at the least, longer if we can stand it, so if any of you feel like joining us, please do! For those who aren't familiar with the story in , he and his friends chose not to eat of the king's food, but chose instead to eat just vegetables and water for 10 days. He asked the chief official (who didn't want to get in trouble for doing this) to compare their appearance after 10 days on vegetables and water to the appearance of the other young men who ate the royal food to test them. At the end of the ten days, it says that and the others with him looked healthier and better nourished than any of the other young men, and so the diets of all the men were changed to vegetables and water. My husband Dave and I have eaten too much crap lately, and I have started to gain some weight back, so we want to do this together as a family. I have to say, I have been feeling the best I have felt in 5 years lately. I attribute it to an increased supplementing of Omega 3 (fish oils) and Omega 6(Evening Primrose and flax oil) fatty acids, as well as Saw Palmetto, Pregnenolone and DHEA. I've added a daily protein shake of between 25 and 50 grams, and I've been more regular with all my other supplements. I have really felt a difference. It feels wonderful! I am just wanting to make sure I stick to a good and healthy eating plan. So, it is time to clean out from all the holiday crap and lax eating we have been doing. We are sticking with veggies and water for at least 10 days, hopefully more. It might be a real challenge, but we hope you will join us and feel better for doing it!
