The National Center for Policy Research (CPR) for Women & Families has the following opening:

POLICY AND COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR or ASSOCIATE: We are looking for an excellent writer who understands policy issues relevant to the health and well-being of women, children, and families. Preference will be given to candidates with a journalism or public health degree, and experience working on or with Capitol Hill or national media. Must be able to help "translate" research facts into compelling and persuasive information for policy makers, the media, and the public. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, be well-organized, work well individually and as part of a team, understand federal policymaking, have press contacts, and have 2-5 years of relevant professional experience. Responsible for quarterly newsletter, developing relationships with press and Congressional staff, and building coalitions with other organizations. Salary commensurate with experience, + generous benefits.
