Please write to with support if you can. Sounds like she needs some confirmation that her implants may be the cause of her symptoms as such a young age.

Her address is kittykitty21206@...

dear ... your recent history with implants mirrors thousands of other women ... it still shocks me that the medical profession remains in denial.

Sounds like you had a "closed capsulotomy" which can indeed weaken and/or rupture implants ... so can a mammogram ... especially at the age of your implants.

I am passing on your important request to a few trusted women with support groups and lists on line ...

I am currently in Latin America ... one of the many new "Silicone Paradises" where with no protection for the women ... they doctors sell silicone gel implants as safe.

Blessings and please keep in touch.

Wow,

I just read your site and have many questions of my own. I had breast augmentation back in1988 and have now realized I have ruptured implants, so that was 15 years ago. I did have some capsular contraction and had it busted up so to speak and it makes me wonder if that is how they ruptured and my surgeon is so old he doesn't even practice anymore. As well I had a mammogram and was wondering if that had caused any further leakage. I also have terrible problems with my hands and believe I have rhuematoid arthritis. I have trigger finger on both of my hands where the thumb is connected and it is excruciatingly painful. I would also like to mention that I have been a blue collar worker all my life and used my hands extensively and think this may be the reason. My mother also has arthritis, but she did not get these problems until much later in life. In the last three years I have had more medical conditions then I have ever had in my life, including the loss of a baby, and anxiety and panic disorder. I don't know if these things are connected, but it is very interesting.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

p.s. I forgot to mention that I am only 37 and this arthritis thing is a bit premature for me.
