Guest guest
Hello all..I am new to this group. I have been explanted from my smooth salines for over 2 years..anyway I experience all the atypical symptoms of the implants. I have Fibro and CFS. I was bedridden for 2 years, and this past year I am self sufficient(excpept for working). Life is an everyday struggle. ANYWAY........My hair has been falling out for 3 years(that is the time I have been sick). How or WHAT can I use to stop it from coming out?? All my tests (100 of them.lol) are neg. The only med I take is xanax to sleep. I started using the nioxin hair products a few months ago, and my hair seemed to stop falling out for about 2 months(maybe it was all coincidence?)I also take a multi vitaman, b-12, and biotin(for hair)..and acidophillus (like that stuff really works.NOT)...Anyone out there with hair loss and suggestions that work would be great!!!!!!!!! Also has anyone used ROGAINE with success(I may be starting it soon).....thank you all.hope to hear from you dimonds xooxoxx
Guest guest
Oops! That should have said fish oil, 1000 mg three times a day, not 1000 mg a day. There should be a ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6--I do 1:1, but it may be 2:1. And sometimes I add in flax oil to my fish oil, EPO mix. Dr. Kolb, any advice on these oils? Hi dimonds, Thanks so much for writing and welcome to our group! I was sorry to hear you had smooth salines and got so sick from them. It sucks totally, and I hope that you are not bedridden at all anymore. Are you able to work at home? There's one other thing that I can suggest to your for help with your hair.....are you supplementing with your essential fatty acids? Like Evening Primrose Oil, Black Currant oil, Borage oil, Fish oils, Flax oils? I think this might be the final missing link for you. The other supplements are good and necessary, but make sure you are getting those fatty acids as well. I take 1000 mg of Evening Primrose oil 3 times a day, and 1000 mg of fish oil a day, as well as Saw Palmetto. Oh, that might be one more thing you will want to add. Saw palmetto has a depressive effect on DHT, the hormone that contributes to hair loss. Finally, there is one more thing you can look into, and that is natural progesterone cream. I use Life Flo Progestocare. Silicone is estrogenic in nature, and progesterone cream helps to offset estrogen dominance. One of the effects in shinier, healthier hair. But please look into all the information on the net about it. You can buy all of these things at the health food store. I'd say stay away from the Rograine if you can....and only use it as a very last resort! Give these natural remedies a good try first. Hugs, Patty
Guest guest
Dimonds, I agree with Patty. I also take primrose oil and fish oil three times per day. What a difference! Another thing, I also lost alot of hair when it was found I was extremly hypothyroid due to Hashimtos Disease. You may want to have your thyroid levels checked. It was terrible, I would lose a handful a day in the shower, but once I was leveled out on tthyroid hormone, I havent had a single problem. I did notice however, once I then added the oils that Patty listed and I said above, after the thyroid meds, it's like they gave my hair more strength, sheen and shine. Hope that helps. I just had my smooth saline explanted 6 mnths ago, as I had tested postive for Rheumatois arthrits, and Hashimots at the tender age of 26! I also had a bells palsy attack(its like a stroke on one side of your face) as well as 10000 strange symptoms. I am getting better slowly. How long did you have yours? I had mine for almost 8 years. The thyroid condition has improved, but I still am stiff and have some symptoms. How long would you say after explant was it that you realy started to feel much better? Welcome to our group, I hope it will be a great blessing to you, as it was and still is for me. The information is so abundant and the girls are all very helpful!
