Subject: British journalist doing story on iimplants ...

So glad you've written ... I'm forwarding this to some trusted women who KNOW this issue too well.

We are doing all we can to get what we know into the media ... exactly the opposite of what the very aggressive silicone manufacturers want to have happen

Over 250,000 women have written our FDA with serious reactions to their implants ... yet this is virtually unknown outside of the US

Please visit my website ...

http://www.BreastImplantAwareness.org ... and especially the Great Links page

I'm in Latin America now ... there's a terrible push for implants here too ... the Plastic Surgeons have "junkets" where women can get the never FDA approved silicone gel implant with no restrictions ...

If you want to talk ... let me know and I'll send you my phone number.

All the best on ths important project of yours!

Dear Ilena-

I'm a freelance writer in England interested in researching the subject of plastic surgery. I was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction as I have a number of queries.

I was wondering, has concern moved on from the potential dangers of breast implants to other types of surgery as well?

Do you know of any other campaigners, individuals or groups in your country and abroad who may also be concerned about the dangers of plastic surgery in general, the long term effects on the body, and more specifically other types of operations and procedures ie: botox, liposuction, face lifts, facial and lip fillers, etc etc.

Do you know of anyone who might feel strongly about this issue or anyone else who has got their finger on the pulse in terms of operations that have gone wrong and bad practice?

Are you aware of any books that have or are being written which question the subject of plastic surgery?

Could you drop me a line by email. It would also be good to chat the issue over with you sometime.

Thanks,
