Guest guest
In answer to your question about healthy lifestyles before implants and getting sick--I was a health freak for years before I got implants. Starting in my teen years, I read the books about fasting, read books by Adelle and Jack LaLayne among many others, I knew about eating right and what was good for you, and had just been on a year program following Carper's recommendations for supplements in her book "Stop Aging Now!" Looking back and comparing what I did then to what I do now, I am even more of a health fanatic now, but before I got implants in 1997, the last time I had remembered being sick with anything was in 1987 when I had the flu. Basically, I went 10 years without an illness. I think I was as healthy as you can get before I got implants. And I was NOT a party girl, did not smoke, did not drink, did not do drugs. So, you can tell them their little theory doesn't hold water where my story is concerned. Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: naturalbeauty38 Sent: Saturday, April 05, 2003 11:53 PM Subject: More to tell So basically after talking with my mom I have discovered why my sister thinks she is safe and won't get sick from implants, first of all she believes that I only got sick because of my past habits, partying etc and she feels this is why I am the minority of women who get ill. She thinks due to her healthy lifestyle that she is safe. What do you guys think about this? how many of you all had healthy lifestyles and got sick anyhow? I am curious about this. My mom also believes this and so there is no use in telling them anything. My dad agrees with me and he said he thinks she is nuts. My mom told me not to tell her all the things I know because it would just upset her. How ignorant is that. I also know even Dr Kolb has been sickened by gel implants so how on earth can my sister think she will be fine with them. Her PS told her that not only does his own wife have them but that he has 100's of patients with them who are very healthy and some who have had them for 30 years. It is all pretty disgusting that she fell for this. I guess maybe she will be ok, but I have a bad feeling about it. I just am so shocked that she actually went with gel implants, man that is crazy to me.well thanks for listening. I have decided that as much as it hurts, I need to just get on with my own life and be glad that I am out of the implant go round. I will take my small breasts and be grateful for my own health.hugs
Guest guest
Pattty I agree and to be honest I nevere realy felt my lifestyle had anything to do with my getting so sick, after all look at how fast I got well once I got the implants out. I mean yes in the past I did some partying, but I had cleaned up and quit all that prior to implants. Now maybe the textured implants were the reason, who knows, but as we all have learned there does not seem to be only women with text getting very ill, esp with gel implants. I cannot believe she can sleep at night having gel implants in her, I don't care how nice they may feel. What about leaking, leeching etc? Even Dr Kolb got il from them, did she party too? I doubt it. I mean seriusly my sister has been brainwashed by her friends and her PS and my gut tells me she is going to live to regret it. Granted her friend has had them for 13 years and only has a major case of arthritis and nothing like what I had and that is great for her. I guess time will telll but I just can't believe how they have made me feel. ly I have gotten over my moms position because what could she have done anyhow, my sister was going to do this and nothing my mom was going to say was going to change it, I think my mom just did not want to hurt my feelings. I don't like the way she went around abut it, but whatever, It does me no good to hold a grudge. I did request that my sister not be here this trip and I can find another hair stylist in Idaho to do my hair. Yes she does a great job, but that is ok I can work that out. I don't see Patti much in my life, and so now I will just see her less. I do have a gut feeling she will have problems with those implants. Probably not as soon as I did, but then I had the text wich I do believe are the worse ones for us sensitive ones. I believe that over time those gel implants that she got will leak and will cause her problems. She is so much like me, she is very into fitness and when her body starts aching and her stamina is affected she will not be very happy about it that much I know for sure. On the other hand maybe somehow she will be spared, which will leave me to look like the freak statistic that they believe I am. Either way though, I have to just let it go. I cannot say I am happy about it, and feel they went about this in about the worse possible way they could, but that is just my own little opinion, for all that seems to be worth these days. thanks Patty. hugs In , " ~*Patty*~ " <fdp@l...> wrote: > In answer to your question about healthy lifestyles before implants and getting sick--I was a health freak for years before I got implants.
