This custom-made sterling silver necklace features the Chinese symbol of motherhood. The significance of the symbol lies in the strokes present on each side, which can be interpreted in two ways. One interpretation is that of a mother's breasts, to symbolize nurturing; the other suggests a mother's arms, holding and raising her children. The oval pendant is 1" high, on a 18" sterling silver chain.

This is a great opportunity to honor your own mother, the mother of your children, a wonderful friend who is a mother, or a woman who has been like a mother to you. Each gift will be sent in time for Mother's Day, with a card explaining the symbol and telling them that a donation has been made in their honor to the National Center for Policy Research for Women & Families.
