Subject: New implantst over old deflated implants Newsgroups: alt.support.breast-implant Date: 2003-03-20 19:20:10 PST I recently discovered that one of my saline implants had a leak. It's been 10 years since my first augmentation. I decided to have another surgery in order to replace my implants. What was supposed to be a 45 minute TUBA (incision through the belly button) breast augmentation turned into something more complicated. My Doctor was unable to remove my old implants. Even after additionally going through my armpit. The original implant (placed between my pectoralis muscle) and my muscle tissue were fused. The implants were McGahn textured saline. My Doctor made the decision to leave the old implants in and place my new implants (mentor high profile round smooth) on top of them. Has anyone heard of this? Leaving the old implants in. Does anyone have any additional information on the subject? On how to remove embedded implants?
