Guest guest
<< ********So maybe the reason we continue to get vaginal yeast infections is that we don't continue treatment FAITHFULLY, DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY, for 4 months. Maaaan, FOUR MONTHS IS A LONG TIME!!!! >> i read about the dosage of the boric acid in a book by Micheal Murray. he said that, when using the boric acid, symptoms may seem to go away in two weeks, but that to really eradicate the infection, you need to continue treatment for four months. in some kind of trial, they took tissue cultures from women who had used Monistat-type treatments and that the tissues were " not normal " , even though their symptoms were gone. the women who had used the boric acid had " normal " cell cultures. this all makes sense when taken in conjunction with what that other guy was saying about skin regrowth. four months is a long time, but compared to the time you have/had the yeast infection, it's nada! *Jami

And compared to the time you WILL have the yeast, if you don't treat it properly, too, LOL Lynn
Guest guest
Hi Dimonds and Daryl, I found this interesting comment made at the following website (go to the bottom): http://askwaltstollmd.com/archives/graves/18721.html#18779 yeast infection remediesPosted by Dawn G. on August 18, 1999 at 08:47:25: In Reply to: Sugar - should be ELIMINATED totally... posted by trish on August 17, 1999 at 19:38:04: I would be careful about using the GSE vaginally. I found it very irritating. I had almost constant vaginal infections for two years. I got rid of it in one try with the following recommended by my doctor: douche for six days with a mixture of 3-4 Tbsp 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with 16 oz distilled water and 3/4 tsp. sea salt. On the seventh day douche with 16 oz distilled water, 1/2 Tbsp Nystatin powder, 3/4 tsp acidophilus powder, 3/4 tsp sea salt. The peroxide kills most all organisms good or bad, then you replace the good ones with the acidphilus powder.

I had that done and it told me what kind of yeast I had and what antifungals it would respond to. They told me both pharmaceutical and natural things.
