Guest guest
Diet is necessary but may also need to do some work on rebuilding proper digestion. Health food stores will have some anti-yeast formulas and acidophilus. Usually that will take care of restablishing proper digestive flora. Guest guest
For me it's wheat. I'll get acne when I overindulge in wheat products...also I feel puffy....and VERY moody!! So I try not to eat it. Guest guest
This will be a highly individual thing, in my experience. What worked for me didn't work for O-neg nonsecretor siblings. Anyhow, yeah, give up the sugar and the dairy as much as you can. Don't think that you can get away with two little cups of coffee and a touch of cream and sugar. All three are not good for you. Lots of folks will tell you to avoid fried foods. Maybe that was a trigger for them, but not for me. Well, they weren't good for me, but didn't make my acne noticeably worse. We already have overactive immune systems, and the acne flareups are part of it. Only the O's in my large family had acne to any extent. Be gentle with your skin even if it's oily. That always made me want to scrub it with steel wool! Yuck. But several plain water rinses are better than any harsh treatment including astringents. As a male, you probably don't want to put anything that seems cosmetic on your face. But you need to protect your skin from particles of pollution, from a pH imbalance, and from weather exposure. If you can find a suitable astringent use one once a day. The commercial ones are pore tightening, but not really drying. Eat your green leafies and sweet potatoes if you can. You need Vitamin A. And probably E for healing. Rose > Im a 23 year old male suffering from mild to moderate acne. Guest guest
Another method of washing face it to wash first with hot water, this opens the pores and allows the mild soap to remove the oils etc. then rinse with water as cold as possible. This will close the pores and keep the dirt etc. out of the pores. Actually, I never use soap on my face just water and I my skin is soft and looks years younger than I am. from Canada >Be gentle with your skin even if it's oily. Guest guest
You know now that I think about it, my husband has always had that problem, and lately he's been using Suave Aloe and Melon body wash and it's cleared up alot. So maybe try that. It's cheap. LOL ~kimmah acne > Since I started my BFL program, I've lost fat, gained muscle > and...... gained acne. > the acne doesn't seem to be the infected hair kind Has anyone else > experienced this? Have a cure? It could be from sweat -- and I've noticed my husband has a tendency to sweat a lot on his back and it can clog pores. You can a shower after your workouts, medication like Oxy or Stridex, or simply aloe vera gel to help dry the acne up. You could also wear wicking shirts while working out if you don't already to help draw the moisture away from your skin. Perhaps at the end of your challenge you both can go to a spa and get a treatment -- I know they do facials to help with acne as well as back treatments. If it's stubborn, go see your doc. It could be a hormone thing that needs something a little more than OTC meds. GL! Astrophe

Guest guest
Acne flares are common due to the hormonal changes. I have heard of and seen some fairly severe cases. But it does clear up with the usual treatment or/and replacing hormones. Dana Thorneburg, RN, MSN, FNP dt@... Guest guest
Hi Trish~ I also started to break out after my MGB. I almost posted about this myself. I'm wondering if it's due to a lack of proper nutrition. If anyone knows why this might be happening, please let us know. Guest guest
I have also had a problem with acne, and never really had a problem before in my life! I am blaming it on the hormonal changes that occur with this surgery. I do think that at 47 years old I am too old to have zits! LOL. Oh well, it hasn't been that bad, just something I noticed. Guest guest
I also broke out with acne, almost like instant ulcers on my face. They would flair up all of a sudden then go down or disapear completely. I think it is hormonal. I also wax my upper lip but I still look like I have a mustache. I think this is hormonal also. I have since gone in the sun. My face has cleared up beautifully but my upper lip looks darker. B
Guest guest
Normally Acne is not a difficult area to help, but it may be caused because of more than one factor. 1. Bacteria (so look at test matrix for this) 2. Toxins in the skin (you can do a detox if you know how, but the easiest place to do this is under Spinal//Timed Therapies//Skin) 3. Hormones, go to Spinal//Sports//Balance Hormones (they ones that are a problem will be in red), if Hormones is involved be sure you also work on the endocrine system, since this is where they are made. 4. Nerves, Check the NLP section and how their emotions are. Do therapy here. I have found that if I do these area along with the suggested therapy and watch for any organ problems it will clear on it's own. The one exception I have had is a girl who was in a coma from a car accident and the brain was injured. This has been my toughest one. Guest guest
HI Anne, I read some interesting info the other day how Pantothenic Acid, one of the B vitamins, is needed to properly metabolize oils that otherwise occur in excess and plug up the pores causing acne. Do a Google search on Acne and maybe include Pantothenic and see what you can find. Good luck.. Guest guest
RE: Acne This is a fire condition, and it is also hormonal. In your diet, whether organic or not, if you use chili pepper, garlic, lemons, vinegar, ginger, ketchup, red sauces, mexican spices, ceyenne, or mustard, you are creating too much heat in the body. Infection can be reduced with colloidal silver water. Blessings, Whitneay T. Guest guest
Hello DON mALONEY, The source was " C. " <xeno_tropic@...> of magnetikon The LED is an OD-663. http://www.optodiode.com/pdf/OD663.pdf is the data sheet for the OD-663 http://www.optodiode.com/pages/pro-part.html is one of the web pages of the manufacturer. I had some success with other problems also with this LED and I think that more power and or more LEDs in the array would be nice. The LED I have is wired in series with a 5 ohm resistor and powered by 6 volts DC at 400 ma. Guest guest
Hi , It sounds like your email itself holds the pertinent info - skin clearing when leaves home and issue returning when she returns home. She may well be dealing with some environmental or pet or food allergy (some food she eats at home which she does not when she travels). I see skin issues with kidney, liver, or colon toxicity. From a Chinese traditional perspective, skin is 3rd kidney, maybe more kidney support. Also, I've seen persistent acne with hormonal issues (also liver related). It seems though that you have really just gotten started on drainage. From a nutraceutical perspective, you might want to make sure she is getting good essential fatty acids and sufficient zinc supplementation. I knew of a little girl a colleague worked with who was covered with acne head to toe (almost literally) and getting her on zinc turned it around - probably zinc's influence of competing with metals, etc. Hope this helps.
