I have an 18 y.o. who has tried everything over the counter and prescription meds to no avail. I think however she will be skeptical about trying coconut oil since it is an oil. Thanks! in TX
Guest guest
After many years of trying various things, my son now responds to vitamins that I packet myself especially for him: 100,000 IU vitamin A (from halibut oil), 2,000 IU vitamin D (cod oil), B-125 complex, 1000mg vitamin C complex, 30mg zinc, 3 tablets Perfect Food. I packet 20 or so at a time, and when he runs out, he takes a break for a few days until I'm able to put a fresh batch into daily packets for him. Probably a better diet would help, but he's unwilling to make changes. (Stubborn..don't know where he gets it.) He will however, take the vitamins with a glass of orange juice each morning. (before going off for bagels w/cream cheese, chai lattes, etc....) And I usually cook him a healthy dinner. nah Get $5.00 off a first order of food supplements at iHerb.com with this coupon code: HOM016. Very good discounts, excellent customer service and fast shipping. ________________________________ From: Myra Kramp <myra1029@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Tuesday, September 29, 2009 11:32:47 AM Subject: Re: acne My daughter swears by Zeniac face wash and creme. Guest guest
What is her diet like? Does she use makeup made with toxic ingredients? Guest guest
Since she is away at school now I imagine her diet's not that good but when she was at home I'd like to think that I fed her well. You never know with teens, though. Her make-up, I'm not sure. I did tell her that bacteria may be living in her make-up brushes if she doesn't keep them clean. Guest guest
When our son removes dairy (especially milk) from his diet and takes flax seed oil 2 x a day his face clears up completely! http://www.barleans.com/images/products/OmegaSwirlStrawBan_lg.jpg > > > Hello, I'm new here and I was wondering if it's true that VCO can help > > clear up bad acne. Guest guest
Does she consume a lot of milk and cheese? I've read that acne can be connected to dairy consumption. sol mgibsonsatx wrote: > Hello, I'm new here and I was wondering if it's true that VCO can help clear up bad acne. Guest guest
Hi , I'll tell you what finally worked for me, eliminating all skin care products, everything. Moisturizer was probably the biggest culprit. When I think back I believe my skin became more problematic when I started using moisturizer and didn't improve until I stopped. My chronically itchy eyes also improved. I don't even use anything but plain water and a wash cloth to wash my face anymore. I do occasionally wear makeup, but not often. I know that would not go over well with an 18 year old, so I would say wear her makeup but still eliminate everything else. Worth a try, it can take awhile for the skin to adjust to this, but worked for me. I wish someone had told me this when I was 18. Guest guest
I would add the admonition to *never* go to sleep with makeup still on. Guest guest
Hi- I've had acne for 25 years and since starting the paleo diet 6 months ago (I have now been following Bee's anti-candida diet for 3 weeks) I've started getting acne in places I've never had it before. Is acne a die-off symptom, retracing, or something else? BTW, I have not started the coconut oil or any supplements yet. Thanks. Guest guest
yup guys I'm on the same boat my user name is Hrx RXn as in Herxemeir Reaction aka die off. I know exaclty what you mean Ryudoadema I have seen you quite often on the boards. I'll back you guys up anytime. > > > > Bee, > > It's sad to see all the people on acne.org using antibiotics/accutane/and harsh chemicals. How can we help these teenagers/young adults/adults? Is there a way to help? That was just something on my mind. I'm a frequent visitor to acne.org and there are thousands of people buying into conventional medicine to cure there skin conditions. When all they need to do is eat according to your program and take supplements. > > > > > > That's all, > > Jeff > > >
