Guest guest
Hi , Dr. Zuckerman made some comments recently about the long term studies needed for women with implants, and how those studies that included women who had implants for only a few months would not show the true cancer and autoimmune dangers because these diseases take so long to develop. However, looking at so many of the saline women who got sick on our group--they got sick so quickly, in only a few months--for me it was 8 months, a it was 4 months, felt bad almost right away, and so many others got sick in the first year after implantation. It seems that for the saline women, symptoms don't always take so long to develop, yet we still get as sick, some with actual blood lab results that show problems, but also a large number of women who have normal blood tests. Would this quick development of illness indicate that this is primarily a bacterial problem? I know that there are alot of unanswered questions regarding implants and illness, but I get asked often what we are reacting to--the silicone or the saline or what? These relatively immediate reactions leave me wondering exactly what we are dealing with, and if it is primarily bacterial. I would think this gives the medical profession a prime opportunity to discover more about autoimmune diseases. There has been alot of allusion to the idea that these diseases have a viral component. Why do you think some women develop these symptoms in only a few months, while others take years? Patty
