Guest guest
Hi Dr. Kolb, A am still planning on having you do my surgery, just still getting my insurance info and such togethere. I am wondering if you know if a person could have a reaction such as all of us women have had with titanium metal in their bodies? I broke (well actually smashed) my ankle 2 years ago and they put in 9 screws and a plate to hold it together as it healed. I started getting very sick practically right after this was done with the extreme muscle pain, muscle spasms and fatigue. I asked the surgeon and many others working in orthopedics if my body could be reacting to the metal. Everyone said that they had never heard of such a thing, that if I was to have a reaction that it would be a localized reaction, ie tenderness and redness on my ankle. Do you have any thoughts about this? I am having the metal taken out on Wednesday. Then I will be coming down to see you for my explant. I have decided to get everything out of my body and go "au natural". :') Thanks for your input, in PA
