Guest guest
Hi there, I really don't think you have anything to fear at all about getting them taken out. You have not had them in very long, and if you are young and have elastic skin, your skin will be like a rubber band--it will shrink back to its former shape and size. I know a woman who is strip dancer in a topless club who had her implants removed afer getting sick, and she went totally back to the way she looked before and she is still dancing! She maybe has a small scar in her aerola or in her armpit, I can't remember, but you would never ever know she ever had implants. And she has such small boobs that there is no sagging or even a crease. It sounds like your beginning symptoms are consistent with implant related problems, but you never know, it could be that it is just from the original surgery and it might settle down...there is no way of knowing for sure. I do remember feeling some strange things the first month after my surgery, but they went away, at least until about 8 months later and that is when all heck broke loose with my health. If you want to stay healthy, of course, the best advice I can give you is to get the implants out. Only you can make that decision, and your plastic surgeon should be totally respectful of that--it is your body. No doubt he or she will try to talk you into keeping them, they usually do. Let us know how it goes. Thanks for joining us! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: thedyes Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2003 5:40 AM Subject: Considering Explanting Hi to all. I have had my saline breasts implants in for 7 weeks now and I want to remove the breast implants. I was a very small A and am now a full B. I have been sick off and on since my surgery. I have felt achy in my joints and stiffness in my right hand. I constantly have a sore throat and feel fatigue. I am going to see my doctor today and I know he is going to try to talk me out of removing the implants. I just don't like these things in my body. I have always been very healthy and very rarely have I been sick. I am athletic and I want to stay healthy. I know I am still in the healing process of my surgery but I want them out. Does any one have any advice on discussing this with my doctor and how will my breast look like after removing the implants. I am worried that I will not look the same as before. Thanks for any input.
Guest guest
Hi and welcome to our group! I was very much like you in that I never really felt normal or healthy from the day I got implants. I was sick almost immediately and continued to be sick for the entire 18 months that I had them in my body. During that time I did allot of research and kept hearing the name Dr Lu Feng(www.drfeng.com) and so I just had this gut feeling about her. I ended up spending the extra $$ to fly to Ohio to have my surgery to get them out and it was the best thing I ever did. She made me look good and I have regained my health slowly over the last 2 years. I am much much better than I ever thought I would be and my breasts are small but they look really good compared to before implants. I also had a lift. I think that if you can get to Ohio you would be so thrilled with Dr Feng, but sometimes it is hard to get the money together and travel for explant. Be careful though if you are going to use a local surgeon or esp the one who implanted you, often times these Dr's don't understand the importance of things like capsulectomy, or even how to do a proper explant and lift if you need one. It sounds like your implants are not too big and you have not had them too long, those are things that are in your favor for sure. Let us know where you are and if travel is possible or if you need to find a surgeon closer to you. Please stick around this group, we are all here for you. hugs In , " thedyes " <thedyes@y...> wrote: > Hi to all. Guest guest
Welome, I had those symptoms too, and ignored them for years. I recently had my implants removed, my capsules around my saline implants wer grossly infected, and those achy joints on my hands and feet that I had for years turned into Rhuemaotid Arthrits in a 26 yeare old! I also have HAshimtos, and other issues that I am dealing with. I have about 8 months ago had them removed by Dr Kolb, and am already feeling much better, and improving dramatically on blood work. I also love the way they look, although I needed a minimal lift ,(which you may not) my skin bounced back, and I couldnt be happier with my breasts! Smaller breasts are worth larger health to me! >From: "~*Patty*~" >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Considering Explanting >Date: Thu, 29 May 2003 12:20:17 -0700 > >Hi there, >I really don't think you have anything to fear at all about getting them taken out.
