, in Mi. we have all 3 exemptions. MOM (Michigan Opposing Mandatory

vaccination) at www.salineguide.com is an excellent resource. Not sure how

much freedom the health dept. has. But I do know that you can have your

kids' names removed from the vaccine tracking registry if they are in there.

Then there will be no electronic record of that. If you would like info I

can snail mail that to you. I'm only up near Grand Rapids. I know exactly

how you feel and it is vital that you feel secure that you won't be

prosecuted for the decisions you have made to keep your children healthy.

Let me know if I can do anything. Nanci in Michigan

Please tell me again about how to have a lawyer to cover myself in the

vaccine issues? This incident of the Health Dept. checking up on me with

my

dr. has got my dh and I freaked. He is REALLY freaked. He said we need

to

look into the legality. We already have a lawyer that specializes in

Homeschooling, so if we are ever accused of something and that is the

primary

issue, we're ok, BUT, if the issue of medical neglect ever came up, I know

they take your children first and ask questions later. I can spout all I

want that it is not against the law to not immunize your children, but

what

good will that do me in the long run?

And, also, does anyone know if the Health Dept. has the legal right to

request the health records of a patient they are no longer seeing? That

smacks of Government interference to me. To be honest, I probably won't

raise a stink about it, because I don't want to draw anymore attention to

myself. But I didn't give the dr. permission to give them info, so can

she?

Get copies of your records from both places or better yet go look at them.

Tell them you just missed putting some things in your baby book. READ all

the things you signed. You also need to rescind any permissions you signed.

Word that you are no longer in need of services from the health department

so you do not feel the need for them to be communicating, the doctor already

has the records and their will be no additions to it. If in the future

communication between the two needs to be opened up you will sign a new

release at that time.

I would discuss this with the doctor as it may have been the nurse or

receptionist that did this. I know my doctor's nurse has caused many

problems for us.

Ellen - Thanks, I hadn't thought of that! I bet the permission

is ad infinitum. What a bunch of hooey! Just try to GET your info

from the government sometime. Yet they can get it from you in a

heartbeat. I appreciate all the input from everyone so far.

A good start is FAQ section. This gives the name of the law and what it

says first thing. I would probably recommend that she start there. There are

all kinds of links to the state gov't site as well where she can obtain more

information.

Hi Holly,

Thanks for sharing that very interesting report from Dr. Blais. It's always eye opening when you hear an expert opinion on what you were carrying inside you. It sounds like you had some contamination of the implants...like most of us. Keep detoxing, girl!

I can make comments on your questions...first, about the legal aspect....it just doesn't seem that legal cases get anywhere these days. The lawyers are not excited about taking our cases, because the manufacturers have discovered exactly what needs to be said and done in court to win, and they are batting almost 1000. They hardly ever lose. That means the lawyer who takes your case doesn't get paid, and it is a long arduous battle that is filled with controversy....plainly, it is just their pain in the behind and if you even find a lawyer that is willing to take on your case, you will be extremely lucky. We lose, all the way around.

Second, I have heard of and used an oxygen sauna several times. I have an ozone generator myself, ( a cold plasma variety) and I posted quite a bit of info in the first year of this group about ozone therapy. I can go back and repost some of those if you would like. Or you can do a search on "ozone" in the archives and the posts will come up for you. Anyway, Ozone is 03, and has been used medically for many years. It is safe. I went to an ozone clinic for my saunas, and they seemed to be quite productive, but I just didn't want to spend the money to keep going back and wanted to invest in the equipment myself to use ozone other ways. I belonged to a group called Oxyplus, which is where I learned all about using ozone therapy. Dr. Saul Pressman is a member of that group, and it has alot of members, so there was quite a bit of discussion about it. You can see it here:

oxyplus/?yguid=85182385

I think you can safely detox with a heat sauna (although I have trouble when the temp gets above 120 and I stay in longer than 30 min. I have to be very careful.) and adding in an ozone sauna will just step up the detox process for you.

Okay, now for the neck arthritis....please be very careful about the cortisone injection! I have heard of several women who have had cortisone injections and they DID NOT help, no matter where it was injected. I've known women who have had it injected into their shoulders and feet with no relief. I had the horrible neck pain myself when I was first explanted and for several years afterward. I can remember having such pain in my neck that it was hard for me to turn to the left or the right, and even trying to lift my head off the pillow at night to turn over was agony. I had pain in the lower area of my brain and pain in the right side of my neck and it seemed to stick around for a very long time. The good news is that it went away by itself! I have never had the neck pain return and the brain pain is gone too! Hallelujah! It just took time. Again, I would be very, very careful about the cortisone injection....I was one who would not seek advice from MD's, only ND's, because I didn't feel that the MD's understood the dynamics of our illness and the concepts of natural healing, letting the body do its work of healing without gumming up the works with adding weird stuff to our bodies. I don't know if the kind of pain I had is what you are having, but I do know I was worried about ankylosing spondilitis or whatever it is called and I really thought I was going to be suffering the rest of my life. But by God's grace, I am not, and I totally believe we can heal in time.

Hope this helps, Holly! I hate to see you in pain, but I know what you are dealing with, and it's not fun.

Take care,

Patty

Hi Everyone,I havn't written in awile. I've been trying to de tox this silicone from my body after my explant for the last 6 weeks.I sent my implants to Dr. Pierre Blais. I just recieved his letterHe has examined myexplanted implants. The report in part ,reads as follows:The implants are confirmed as Mentor saline inflatable mammaryprostheses. If inserted in 1995, they would have had to originate fromprototype or investigational supplies. The identification as Mentorproducts is definitive. The right implant is punctured, not ruptured. The characteristics of thedamage are consistent with penetration by a sharp object, most probablya hyperdermic needle.Conversly, the deflation you noted, as indidcated in your letter of4/23/03, most probably resulted from failure of the valve mechanism.Significantly, both of your implants show a major manufacturing defectat the valve. Both would have leaked from the outset. Thus, both weredefective. Further, the left inplant contains large quatities ofmicroorganisms. Many usere of Mentor saline implants encounter complications traceableto major production defects. Moreover, product inserts do not present aforthright assessement of the risks inherent to use of the product.Users of Mentor implants manufactured after 1991 are not comprised inthe MDL 926 compensation programs. Mentors warranties regarding productintegrity are applicable only in situations where the implant isreplaced by another of the same origion. Thus, compensation from themanufacturer is strongly dependent on direct negotiations between thenamnfacturer and the user or her legal representative. Reimbursabilitycriteria fro Mentor would include siturations where implants show frankmanufacturing defects, such as faulty valves.I was wondering if anyone had any comments and advise on what to do. I have two concerns. One, do I have a legal case and if so with whom. I never thought in a million years, I would ever consider a law suit, but I am considering it.Also, I wanted to know if anyone had heard of an oxygen sauna?I am currently sweating to de tox every day for 30 minutes. I wonder about the ozone. Also, I am having trouble with arthritis in my neck and am sceduled to get a "facet block".This means they put cortisone into the facet joint to hopefully help with the pain.I am worried about any side effects especially because I am so sensitive. I am hoping it doesn't cause any more problems.ANY advice would be very much appreiciated. You guys are the only ones who understand. Thanks so much for being there.Aloha, Holly

Dear Holly

I am so sorry to hear about your health issues, and your implants

being defective, I am curious did you have smooth or textured? Anyhow

as far as legal action goes, I have to say that I agree with Patty on

that one, I don't think there is much legal recourse for any of us

esp with the newer implants. There is no one willing to take on these

cases these days, and with the consent we all signed we basically

gave away our rights to any action. You can try to find someone to

take your case, but I don't think the outcome is too favorable.

As far as the injections you speak of, I have actually heard really

good things about this type of injection. I had steroids in my feet

and they made a huge difference for a short period of time in my life

and it was something I don't regret. I had no permanent damage and it

got me over the hump to where I could walk again and get some really

good orthotics to help me and now my feet are pretty much healed. As

far as your neck I really happen to feel these are tolerated well and

work great on most people. I don't think that you should worry too

much about it, I would do it if your suffering in allot of pain, I

think it will help you. It just depends on the degree of pain your

in, it is def worth a shot.

good luck

Holly, I had terrible neck pain, and always attibuted to my RA from the implants, but after about 3 months post explant, the neck pain that would be so terrible in the morning, so stiff, so painful, went away about 3 months after explant, and I havent had it since! I used to have it every day for about 2 years somthing aweful! I would keep detoxing, and have it massaged, and take it easy. The injection will only cause side effects, and cover up the real issue. Neck pain is also attributed to fibromylagia, or thyroid issues!
