Guest guest
Sunday, (I hope I can stick with this name to avoid more confusion with all you 's, nna's and 's here in the group now!) Did you hear back from ???? Is she the one who gave you the recommendation for the London P/S? You'll have to let us know more about how you found this person and decided to go with him/her, and if we will be able to use this name as a future reference for any women in England who join us that need help. Good doctors are so hard to find. Wishing you the best for a wonderful outcome! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: Sunday Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2003 11:18 AM Subject: Going to be natural... and so excited May as well be truthful on the road to recovery and help confuse everybody by signing this with my real name.Got a date for explantation on Friday of next week. I will fly (will be flown!!!) to London on Thursday for an early morning consultation with ps and will be at the mercy of his scalpel on Friday. It is ferociously expensive to stay in London, but I will stay three nights in a hotel so that I can have drains removed there if they need to stay in that long. I was promised dissolvable stitches (stitches will dissolve in their own time) and can come back to have the plasters removed or have any(aaaaargh!!) nurse here do it. I think it is safe to drive when it feels right. A week would be the least I imagine. This is so very exciting, and so much like when getting implants, though it does feel like a lot of weight will be taken of my chest...I hope I won't be too woozy to go to an internet cafe and tell you all how it went! Guest guest
Patti, I did hear back from and tried in vain to get through to her surgeon. Meanwhile I got in touch with Kathy (UK) who has posted her story and pics on explantation.com. As I want to be quick about this I was happy to get an appointment next week (he had a cancellation - do they all say that?). Apparently he always does a capsulectomy, I hope he will do it " en bloc " as well. His secretary and nurse were most helpful, also in that they called me back on my cellphone etc. and expressed concern about going home to Ireland too soon. The procedure will be done in a very large private hospital which means they have all kinds of things on hand should anything go wrong. I like that in comparison to my original ps's boob shop which now seems very shady to me (like the house in " The Wizard of Oz " where Dorothy gets her elctric shock treatment). I would prefer to recommend him rather than pass on his details but will do so anyway. The surgeons name is Dai Davies, and his London office no. is +44 208 735 6060. Fingers crossed.... Guest guest
Sunday (), " En Bloc " is essential. Make sure he does it! I'm so happy that it's all coming together for you and you are on your way to a happier and healthier you! On Friday, June 20th (the day of your surgery), I will be thinking of you and praying for you. I'm sure it will all go very well for you! My family is from Ireland (my mom's side). (Mervue, Galway and Waterford.) Most of my relatives live there. Me and my siblings are first generation born in America. I've been to Galway a couple of times and look forward to taking my son there to show him around. He's never been there before. Beautiful country! > > Sunday, > > (I hope I can stick with this name to avoid more confusion with all > you 's, nna's and 's here in the group now!) > > Did you hear back from ???? > > > > Is she the one who gave you the recommendation for the London P/S? > > > > You'll have to let us know more about how you found this person and > decided to go with him/her, and if we will be able to use this name > as a future reference for any women in England who join us that need > help. Guest guest
I was off work for 8 days, stuck in Cleveland with drains for 7 eeks! It sucked. I kept putting out fluid, I am sure because my explant was so extensive with those sucker being welded into my pectoral muscels and my rib cage, yuck! Anyhow, I want you to know that the out is usually for most of us much easier than the in. I was tender for awhile but it was easier to deal with than the in part. Implantation was hard on me, I was sore for months!
