Guest guest
Hi Jan, there may be only a couple support groups for silicone gel implants that I am aware of, and here is the link to the google one: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en & lr= & ie=UTF-8 & group=alt.support.breast-implant Ilena Rosenthal's website can be found here: http://www.humanticsfoundation.com/ She has worked tirelessly on behalf of all ill implanted women. We are here for anyone who needs help with their implant problems, silicone or saline. It is named because at the time that I started the group, I felt that the women with saline implants were a neglected segment of the implant brouhaha, as we were ill too, but we thought we were different from the silicone gel ladies. However, it appears that we share similar diseases and symptoms. I think your decision to go with natural breasts over any more implants is a smart one. Implants are just so not worth it! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: dogsbrkn Sent: Sunday, June 08, 2003 3:08 PM Subject: silicone support Hi,My name is Jan and I have had silicone implants for 17 years, just found out one is ruptured and probably has been for 3 years. Does anyone know of a support group for silicone or are we all in this together? I was thinking of replacing my torn ones for saline but after reading some of your stories, I think small breasts sound good now. What made us think we needed to have bigger breasts to be happy??? too big of a price to pay for our health. I would appreciate any input. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi, I am new here, too. I only realised a few weeks ago that I have problems because of my implants ( Dec. 2000, hydrogel -saline with 8% polysaccharides to make a gel - in a silicone elastomer shell). My first thought is you should get them out as ASAP, en bloc, etc. by a really good ps and not have them replaced! You are lucky if you don't have health problems yet, and it definitely isn't worth the risk. Small boobs are nicer anyway, fake ones rarely look natural. I am looking forward to being my natural soft self, without plastic implements in my body. You might also find www.explantation.com. interesting. Best of luck Sunday --- In , " dogsbrkn " <ragillett2@a...> wrote: > Hi, > My name is Jan and I have had silicone implants for 17 years, just > found out one is ruptured and probably has been for 3 years. Guest guest
Thnks Sunday, I will check out that site too. I do have some problems with aches and numbness and also have developed Raynouds, so I'm looking for a good ps in Northern California , in case you know of one and do want them out asap. I just got a recommendation of a good ps from Ilena in the San Diego area and might end up flying down there. Anyway, it's good to have this group of support , at least we are not left all on our own. Thanks again, Jan > > Hi, > > My name is Jan and I have had silicone implants for 17 years, just > > found out one is ruptured and probably has been for 3 years. Guest guest
Dr. Lee sounds great, ! I am excited for you. That's a plus that Dr. Lee specializes in nerves, too. I know that I ended up with numbness in some parts of my breasts. That has made me sad....hopefully his expertise will keep full sensation in your breasts for you. And so nice being so close to home...I had to travel like many ladies do. Both very nice PS. Both will say that the implants may or may not be causing the problems. Both are attentive and listen to you. I have decided on Dr. Lee, I have talked to another lady that was explanted by him and she said that he even repaired some of the nerves. He specializes in nerve surgery, hand. I am looking forward to getting better soon. I will be explanted on the 27th. I live in San Diego so being close to home will be great....
