I was a full 36 C/D. They were 325cc textured mentor filled to 360 cc. When I had my implants put in I was a small A cup and weighed only 115 lbs at 5'5". I think I look bigger now (I am a 34 B) because I have gained weight over the years since my

initial surgery. I appreciate your compliments. Thank You. Also, you have my permission to post them on the site if you'd like. I realize a lot of women do need mastopexies after implant removal but I think it is good for women to see that it may not always be necessary. Maybe someone with breasts similar to mine will see my pics and know that they may not need a lift either.

I had forgotten what my breasts looked like before implants so when I saw my pics from my original PS I thought "Man, my breasts looked pretty good--What was I thinking getting implants anyway" Hindsight is 20/20.

Take Care,

Crystal

Isn't it interesting how so many of us were the same size with

implants, yet we all had different cc's! Very wierd. I had 390cc and

went to a D cup. I wore some C's too. Implants do not fit in bras the

same as real breasts do they? Anyhow, I started off very small but

had lots of skin so I was a B cup before implants, but with all the

skin removed with the lift I ended up smaller. It is also interesting

how almost everyone gained wieght with implants too. I gained 5 pound

with them, nothing major, but I felt so flat after explant that I

really worked hard to get my wieght back down because I just felt so

out of proportion with smaller boobs and being the same size as I was

with D cups. Anyhow Crystal I am sure you have not had kids and are

younger than me, no stretch marks either and yes, it is good for the

younger girls to see that if they looked like you did before implants

they will not need a lift either. I have seen some very good results

on younger girls like yourself with no lift. It really does help I

think for us to all share our photos as there is always going to be

someone out there with our similiar build and shape size etc.

You do look great. Also interesting that you had the mentor textured

too because I have learned that those are not like the McGhan in that

the texture is less pronounced, but apparently they are problematic

as well. Anyhow, it is great to know your doing well and that you

came out looking so nice. It is true that you did not need implants.

When I look at my before pics that is something I cannot say, I mean

I think I would have ended up getting implants no matter what the way

I looked, just like my sister ended up doing. It was something that I

was going to end up doing, because of how bad my breasts looked, and

I just doubt that I would have believed a lift to have been enough to

help me with my issues. So I guess this was just something I was

meant to go through, no matter how much it hurt, and I met my husband

because of this nightmare as well, so good did come out of it.

take care

Can I ask you how much weight did you gain? Have you lost it or are

you struggling with that issue now?Seems allot of us have that

problem and I am just wondering if you are still dealing with it too.

thanks

I gained more than 50 lbs. at one point. I lost a good bit in the last year and half as I started working with a personal trainer and worked out very intensely. Unfortunately, this is when a lot of my symptoms really exacerbated because I was doing major upper body work and I think this may have started causing a lot of the texture to flake off my implants. This is what my Drs. thought, anyway. I lost 30 lbs. last year and I have put back about 5 since I had my explant last August. I have not worked out as much as I did before, but I am getting back on my program now. I have not gained any weight lately and actually had lost some at my last Dr. Appt. This is interesting because I have been eating like crazy and not working out. I definitely think implants cause some women to gain weight. I started gaining within a year of getting them. My ex-boyfriend who was a personal trainer used to say I can't figure out how you keep gaining weight when you eat so healthy and work out. He used to say he thought my metabolism had gotten screwed up some how. ( I have never had thyroid issues either). Anyway, now that the implants are gone, I am excited to see what kind of shape I can get in.

By the way, I am 32 and have never had children.

Crystal,

well it seems that allot of us have had this struggle with weight

issues for sure. I think I have managed to keep mine in check mostly

just with my working out. I also know that at one point my thyroid

was certainly giving me trouble, but I am hoping it is straightening

out. I feel that somehow the implants and thyroid are interconected

for allot of us. Sounds like that may have been happening to you,

even when the labs are seemingly normal.

I hope that you get to where you want to be. I know that working out

is also really important to me and that it has helped me allot to get

to where I want to be fitness wise. I feel like I will always have

room for improvement but I am happy with my body for the most part.

keep us posted on your weight and your progress too.

hugs

Crystal,

I definitly agree with you, my metabolism is very screwed up since those damn implants! I work out, and have for the last 7 years every day for an hour, eat no carbs, no sugar, almost all veggies and lean meats, can not lose weight, have gained about 20 since getting them , and now since my hashimots illness- seem to be resistant to my throid meds! I cant wait to see Dr Mercola to see what other hormonal problems show up on my blood results, otherwise we are considering it thyroid resitance. I am so sick of these issues., I hope that going back to a synthetic t4 with a t3 component on the side will help me with this.As my natural isnt hitting a thing! I am extremely active, and this metabolism hasnt been mine since I got these implants!

Hi ,

How frustrating to be dealing with these thyroid issues, huh? I cancelled my last appt at the endo's office, as I was just kinda sick and tired of the time spent and getting blood drawn and things are going pretty smoothly right now, so I thought, what for? I do hope you get the metabolism thing figured out. My metabolism has been screwed up, too. I don't know if it is because of all the fasting I have done or my thyroid issues, but I have gained weight in the last year, too, and it is driving me nuts. I am taking 1 grain a day of Biothroid, or Amour. I should say when I remember.....I often forget, but thank God, I have been feeling great! Let us know how it goes.

I feel for ya , you are doing alot of working out, and should be seeing something for your efforts. That sucks. I have never worked out, ever, so this sounds so sad.....hopefully Dr. Mercola will get this all figured out for you, sounds like something is definitely still off....

, I am glad your working out is working for you! It used to for me, until about 3 years ago....I also do every day, and unfortunatly am gaining weight slowly. I hope I get these thyroid issues straightened out! At least you are reaping the benefits of it, and seeing results! Imagine being me, and slowly every summer your sizes go up another notch, despite working out everyday-I do weight training 3 times per week for 50 min,(as I know your muscles need a break from weights days in between) and alternate jogging and the firm tapes for 55 min the other days! That doesnt include my afternoon daily walks with Tyler no matter what Chicago weather brings me. Even in winter, we bundle up, and walk, I swear by fresh air! We live by 3 or 4 parks, and walk usually 2 miles a day. Sun. is my only rest day. Makes me sick,

Patty, It IS! I am so frustrated with this right now. I am on 2.5 grains, and its like Im not taking a thing! I am still cold, still puffy, hair loss up the ying, no sex drive (poor hubby) weight gain, and my periods are now 20 days apart again! Thats how I was when I was Hypo and not on meds! I have heard that natural is not tolerated with some patients, maybe I am not "'toleraing " it! I had my ultrasound done again on that one large nodule form last year, and now I have 3! The doc asked me what I was on, because it was as if I have nt been on anything since last year! He said on meds- I shouldnt be getting more nodules, usually only when you are so hypo or hyper your body is a little out of control making these nodules, meds should slow them down, and shrink them! And to go on synthetic (of course he would say that) I think I will on- Synthetic t3 and t4 this time, and see if in 3 month it shrinks them. I feel like saying whatever!

Crystal I did not realize you had them for that long. How long did it

take for you to get sick from them? I am glad your feeling better and

you look great, you should be an inspiration to all the women that

want explant after a few years of being implanted and no lift too.
