I've corresponded with Professor Nicolson a couple of time, and most recently got a referral for some Vegas doctors for Daryl, so she could see about getting on some type of mycoplasma, or long term low dose antibiotic therapy following a protocol of Dr. Nicolson's type. This was my second trip to a doctor with Daryl about this issue.

We went to one of the two Las Vegas doctors he recommended, and wouldn't you know that the doctor we saw here spoke in a very derogatory manner of Prof. Nicolson, calling him a quack and saying other things that really offended me! I told him it was a matter of perception...that sometimes I wonder who the real quacks are......

Anyway, I wrote back to Dr. Nicolson and told him of our experience here with Dr. Willard, and he said he would take his name off his list. Dr. Nicolson is a very nice man, and it is too bad there are so many doctors out there who are close minded, arrogant and ignorant of so many things, and to hear them call other respectful doctors quacks just really fries me.

I really hate to sound down about the medical field, because I know there are many truly giving people out there who really do have a compassionate heart and want to help others through their pain. But I have to tell ya, the more experiences I have with arrogant doctors who think they are God's gift to men and that they know it all, the more I see how evil the medical establishment as a whole has become. I wonder how God feels about these men when He looks down from heaven and sees the violence done to people in the name of medicine? Now, I am not saying ALL, for those who have problems with certain adjectives, but it just seems that there are way too many doctors with inflated egos and cold hearts than there should be in this necessary field. And it is too bad that the good ones like Dr. Nicolson are spoken of in a demeaning manner by others who have much too much time to hobnob with their cronies and kiss behinds rather than spend time trying to understand just why we are ill.

Great Post Patty, and I totally agree with your comments re: most -not all doc like this with the "I am all" problem. It is enough that it takes so long to find the proper treatment to see if is even for you, but to come up against brick wall in doctors offices with their jagged phyliphosy is another feat to accomplish. Right now I am trying to prove my case that I either have some type of hormonal inbalances or I believe I am having thyroid resistance> I am trying to prove my case with Dr Mercola to test these hormone levels , and or treat me with a t4, and synthetic t3, as the natural doesnt work, and the t4 does nothing. It is so hard, at least he is open though. . I think more and more of them, esp the older ones (not all) arent used to patients coming in looking for a treatment with a sense of knowledge about their illnesses and what they believe they need. They are offended by this, and are used to treating their patients their old gfashioned way, and as if they are children with no common sense. This way makes their practice run more smoothly, and takes up less time. They see you as a time consuing idiot, and I see this all the time! It has taken alot of money, time, emotions, studying, researching and resources to find an open doc,and try to accomplish a new treatment if the current wont work, And even so, it does not mean they know what we are dealing with, and are open to anything!ARG

And for any doctor to put down Dr Nicolson is a ignorant idiot
