Guest guest
Why on earth would someone want breasts this big. I just cannot fathom it. I wonder if women who get implants this large suffer from more illness and disease since they are obviously exposed to more silicone. Guest guest
Who dies at 30 from natural causes??!!! She probably died of respiratory arrest because I can't imagine how she could even breathe with those things in her. It is truly shameful that someone would put implants in that are that large and how sad at the loss of another implant victim.
Guest guest
Hey , I have been ok. I am still trying to figure out what to do about this polycystic ovarian disease. I saw a new gyno this past Friday and she wasn't very helpful. She was quite rude in fact. I had some elevated liver function tests and she said she was sure it was because I had had a few drinks the night before I had the blood work performed. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. I told her that I am a teetotaler and haven't had one drink in five years. She also didn't give me a very thorough breast exam and she seemed to have the "god" complex. She told me I seemed very knowledgeable about my condition and that I must read a lot (in a sarcastic manner). She rolled her eyes at a few things I said as well. I think this will be my last visit with her. She is supposed to be a top doc here in Atlanta. She did refer me to an endocrinologist so I am glad about that. She wants me to just take birth control pills and I am not comfortable about taking them anymore. I tried naturally compounded progesterone for about 6 months and that worked for a while but now it is not helping anymore. My blood sugar has been all messed up which is a common problem with the PCOD and the reason I am seeing the endocrinologist. I have to eat @ every 2-3 hours or I feel very faint and dizzy and the brain fog comes on horribly. I see the endo on June 6. I'll let you know how it goes. How have you been? I am sorry to hear about Tyler's continuing skin problems. I know you have tried so many things. You are such a great Mom and I know you will do everything in your power to find a way to treat him. By the way, your pics are up the Plastikos site. You look terrific!! Dr. Kolb did a great job on you. Mine are up as well. Tell me what you think. I went to have a professional bra fitting last week at this fancy lingerie shop. The girl who measured me had really huge implants in. I told her I had implants removed last August after having them 8 years and she said "oh, you must have had silicone," I said nope, saline filled. She shut up real fast and kinda took on a different attitude with me after that. She did help me find some very comfortable bras though. I have been having trouble finding ones that I can stand to wear since explant. I had been buying 36A and I am actually a 34B so that explains a lot! I'll try to call you soon so we can catch up further. Take Care, Love, Crystal
Guest guest
In my opinion, doctors who put in implants this large should have their licenses to practice medicine taken away and disbarred. This clearly is not medicine in any sense of the word, and they certainly are not fixing any problem. This is purely and simply perverseness. And you are right....have you ever known anyone to die at 30 from natural causes????? Obviously they were covering up something! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: CrystalRDH@... Guest guest
I disagree with you Patty. No doctor made me get implants, I chose to as did you I'm sure. Mine even gave me a pamlet from the company that made the implants and it had all the side effect listed. I guess we are the 1% that something bad was going to happen to. I have many friends that have them and they are not sick after having them in for a long time and they have silicone not saline. I thank God they have not gotten ill. I think it has to do with you immune system to begin with. The lady you guys are talking about was a stripper, hooker...real pro and she was famous for her drugging and boozing. She did die at an early age, but it had nothing to do with implants, which she got later in her career, she died because she abused her body with drugs and booze and too much partying. >From: "~*Patty*~" >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Risks of gel implants >Date: Tue, 20 May 2003 18:20:19 -0700 > >In my opinion, doctors who put in implants this large should have their licenses to practice medicine taken away and disbarred. Guest guest
Vickie, I don't mind that you disagree with me.....please show me the references that prove she did not die from her implants? I don't think you can make a statement that her death had nothing to do with her implants, and that it had all to do with her drugging and partying. There is no way to prove that. Maybe you mistook my statement about taking away the license of a doctor who puts in implants this large? I chose to get implants, that is the truth, no dispute there. But there is no way you can convince me that doctors should be allow to do things to the human body in the name of medicine just because someone asks for it. Like putting in implants that are so huge as to look ridiculous and freaky. I also happen to think it is wrong for doctors to change a male into a female and vice versa. That is playing God and hey, if someone is born a male, that's just the way it is, I totally don't understand this idea of rebuilding humans into things that aren't normal in nature. Freaky! Guest guest
Patty, I agree with you on the sex change operations and no doctors shouldnt do implants that big in the name of medicine, it's not medicine it is cosmetic surgery but it is a "free country" and shit, people wanna look freaky in many ways. We can not control any of that. I know about this woman because there was a story on her on the biography channel not three or four weeks ago which I watched and they said the cause of death was drug related, she'd been on a binge for weeks. I remembered that because I too thought she looked ridiculous with those huge implants. >From: "~*Patty*~" >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Risks of gel implants >Date: Wed, 21 May 2003 12:12:56 -0700 > >Vickie, >I don't mind that you disagree with me.....please show me the references that prove she did not die from her implants? Guest guest
, That is wonderful news for Tyler! Your persistence definitely paid off! Isn't it funny how you can go to one Dr. after another and get so many different opinions and diagnoses. It is so hard to know who is right or wrong. I guess that is why we have to be so diligent and do our homework. I am always off on Fridays so that is usually the best time to call. I am heading out of town for Memorial Day weekend this Friday. I am looking forward to some R & R. Talk to you soon. Love, Crystal
Guest guest
Remember Patty that most of these PS's will just use the excuse that if they don't give the patient what she wants the patient will just go elsewhere. My argument with that is simple, someone needs to stand up for this. If everyone stood their ground on these issues maybe something would actually be done about it. Kind of like a drug dealer saying that if he isn't selling it to the kids, they will just get it elsewhere. that excuse doesn't fly with me at all. Guest guest
, I can post them if you forward the pics to me in an email. That would be the easiest way, unless I find a way to lift them off her website? Let me know... Guest guest
Vickie I also have to disagree with you, there needs to be limitis and there needs to be morals in the PS industry as well as other places in this country or we are just going to be full of freaks and sick people. You may know some women who have implants that are fine, I think all of us know some of them. But to be honest with you, personally I don't know many that have had them a very very long time without some kind of problem or complication, be it small or major like illness, at some point most women will have a rupture, a hematoma, CC, need replacements, costly repairs, and then there are the sick women. Many women do not like to admit that their health problems are related to thier implants, others have no idea that their health issues are related to the implants, they just assume that having arthritis or other problems are normal aging process for them. Of course there are some women that may lead normal lives and not have health issues, however, your not living in their bodies so realy you don't know for sure if they have issues or not. I used to think the way you do also, but really learned allot when I started talking to women with implants and found out that allot of them do in fact have issues they don't talk about to others, and many are in denial because they do not want to get the implants out. Also you have to look at how long these women have had them, many women are fine for many years. I don't believe any implant is safe, and my Dr did not discuss with me the many many possible and unknown side effects that I ended up experiencing for myself. I really used to feel like I was in the 1% but I feel diferently now after being involved in this issue for 3 years I have learned so much and I now feel that the percentage of us who do experience illness is much much higher than 1%. Many women will think that they have FMS, CFs, just tired, PMS, menopause, allergies, the list goes on and on and on, and the Dr's don't help much because so many of them also tell women who get sick that the implants have nothing to do with it. I used to think yeah but look at all the women on tv and in the movies, well again, we don't know much about them and their lives, do we? not really? Some of them we have no clue how much they do or how much they take to survive the pain isssues etc. I know that I used to take allot of vicodin to get through the day and I have heard rumors of many actresses that survive that way also. So while you may disagree with what Patty said, that is fine, we can all have our own opinions. I do believe that this woman who we were talking about, the one who died, her implants may very well have been involved in her illness, death. Many people like to blame drugs and partying for allot of things, the reality may be much different than that but that sure is an easy thing to blame it on. Think about it, implants are made up of many many toxic chemicals and think about having that in your body everyday, your body can never get rid of it. It reacts by walling the implants off, this the PS tell you is normal, yes it is normal, your body does not want this foreign thing in there, and it will fight it, weather you feel the symptoms of it fighting it or not is another thing, but everyones body reacts to these things. Anyhow, I also don't beleive that all of us were destined to get ill anyhow, because if that was true how come when the implants were gone we got better? How come labs got better? It is just too bad that most people have the same misconception that you do, which is why so many people rush out to get implants without fully understanding the implications, that it is allot higher than 1% of us who end up with health issues because of implants. Not just the gel ones either, the saline can be just as deadly. I hope that you will try to understand that the PS industry and the medical industry for the most part would love for everyone to believe this illness is rare, but to be honest I don't believe it, I believe it is truly much more common than anyone is willing to admit. anyhow, we all have a right to our own opinion, and again, this is mine, and it is from the three years of being exposed to this issue that I have made it. I really believe that if you stick around and get involved in the support aspect as you go through this you too, will find that this is much more common than you thought it was. take care In , " Vickie " <vickiemsmith17@h...> wrote: >
