Dear Ms. Rosenthal:

I am writing an article for The Los Angeles Times Magazine about breast implants in teenage girls. I am horrified that it is legal for anything other than correcting gross congenital asymmetry. My editor wants an "LA slant" to the story, and would prefer some particular timeliness. Do you know of any girls in LA who have had breast augmentation surgery they now regret? Unfortunately, I think such a personal story (name changed) is what it might take to get the point across to readers. Also, is there anything going on now that's noteworthy on the specific issue of teens and implants? Thanks so much, Ronda Fox
