I have been checking and boise may save me a few $$$ - Is that the airport you mentioned being the one on the way? I need to know as I am trying to find cheap tickets. I talked w/ my hubby about it and I still haven't gotten the approval from my short term disability plan per my employer.... they have had it for weeks. so long as they approve it, I should be able to go. if not then I don't think I will have the money. I am freaking out as I really want to go!. say a prayer that my disability goes through!! I want to meet you guys so bad!

I appreciate the offer for the pick up - I found several into Boise around 1:30 or so - if I chose that route, what time would be best to plan my arrival for you? are there other airports that would be easier for you? I am very ignorant about the Midwest and surrounding areas. Keep in mind tat you have an open invite to stay w/ us in Florida if you ever need a little get away! I would love the company!!

please let me know times/locations asap as I need to nail down a ticket if I can...

I am praying for a "disability" miracle this week. my flight is gonna be over $400 which is tough as I am not working. plus my "Logan"'s birthday is the 11th so we have his party & gifts to pay for right on top of it so it is gonna be tight. I hope I can make it, too!

Boise would probably be the best if you are going to fly with

southwest or alaska/horizon, or even Delta I think flies there. You

can also fly into Pocatello like Patty is doing, or to Sun

Valley/Haily Idaho airport, those are the ones I would check into.

Gosh i hope you can make it, I really want to meet ya.

let us know, Patty is coming in at noon on the 17th so I could be in

Boise within 3 1/2 hours.

Actually it is with my work - short term disability, not SS. I have been waiting about three weeks and they called today and "need more info" on my illnesses and need my medical records. I guess taking the doctors word for it isn't enough for these people. they will drag it out until I can't pay my bills, I guess. I remember when I had my son I filed for it for my 8 weeks maternity leave and the first check I received was one week before I went back to work. Some benefit - they are supposed to pay when you can't work - not 2 months after when you can't pay your bills. they will do anything to get out of paying. it makes me mad as me going to Sun Valley depends on this money - if I wait too long then the tickets will be too expensive but I am scared I will be denied and be in trouble financially. what a pain

Shari, how long have you been waiting? How many times have you appealed? I'm on my second appeal and waiting for a hearing. Crazy how long it takes.

yep - they always felt stuck and nasty to me. After my capsular contracture surgery they were softer but I don't remember them ever not hurting. I was much more excited about getting them removed than put in!! I was gonna cut them out myself if I couldn't get an appt!!! I was sooooo happy to get them out - especially after I saw them!

I was really scared to have mine removed because they looked so

horrible pre implantation, but once I found Dr Feng I felt so much

relief over it that I just new it was going to be ok. I know how you

felt about removing them, I thought about puncturing them but then

figured that would just make matters worse. I swear I was so ill all

i did for 2 years was lay on the couch and go to work, it was hell. I

lost my precious daughters most important years because of

implants. It is still really hard for me to deal with that. I don't

know what I was thinking, hell I saved my hard earned money for

implants for 2 freaking years! what on earth was I thinking, I spent

over $16000 dollars on implants/explant lift, medicine and vitamins,

maybe more like $20,000 if you include tests and therapy's etc etc.

How can I have one good thing to say about that? What pleasure did

those toxic bombs give me? Oh yeah I looked so hot laying on my couch

in a tank top, yee haaa fun!

yeah implants, hard to watch others get them, sure some of them will

be fine, but I was also a perfect candidate, clear mamogram, good

bloodwork, healthy as a horse, used to run 30 freaking miles a week,

lift weights, work full time, shopping, running around to the beach

and stuff with my kid, I mean I was a ball of freaking energy, those

things took me and turned me into a ball of illness at 33 years old.

I was too young to be turned into that. On the outside i looked so

good, inside I felt 100 years old.

Oh man I could go on and on, but you all know the story.

I have tried both meds for headaches and they don't work - the morphine is mainly for the headaches and fibro pain - I have tried a tom of headache meds with no relief also - another one called axert I as recently given - not sure yet if it works. I just basically hurt all over all of the time and the pain spec suggested the morphine after I had tried vicodin and the methadone. Over the last few years I have probably tried over 30 RX's for the headaches- migraine, anti inflam. you name it. thanks for the advice anyways

it is called avinza - it is 1 pill per day time release morphine. It seems to be working better than the methadone - I think that stuff was making it worse. I have never tried oxycontin - just vicodin then the others mentioned above.

- have you seen the posts re: sun valley? Cricket is going to try to let me use some of her miles so I can go!! the only problem is that they only go to Boise - how far out of your way would that be? I know you are getting patty at Pocatello around noonish and I looked at a map but can't really tell if it would be horribly out of your way or not... please let me know as I will be able to make the trip if i can do the Boise thing. (of course I will pay for gas, etc.) Also - what time are you guys leaving sun valley so if the Boise thing is OK w/ you I can look up flights for Cricket to book for me? please let me know - I know we had talked about Boise before but I wasn't sure if you were still interested in going there or how many girls you were already picking up. thanks!!!

thanks for the info- actually the Avinza is morphine.... time release. I am not sure if anything would be better than that or not. I have an appt w/ my pain doc on Friday so I will ask.

thanks you guys for caring.... I think that we should consider bankruptcy but my hubby won't consider it. It would help immensely -- the biggest issue isn't the house it is the massive debts we have on CC's. All the doc bills etc., add up. Our monthly CC bills far exceed our house payment. He won't listen as we have perfect credit but it is issues like these that it was made for. Who knows what he is thinking...

thanks for responding so quickly - I am a little bummed today. I will get over it

Shari,

CC bills can be a nightmare. Your husband is thinking like a man.

and be thankful you married one.

Have you called the credit card companys yet to ask if they will

lower your interest rate yet. I just did this last week. Guess what

they did. that might help. Also if you divide your payments in

half and send one early this will deduct alot of intertest. As long

as the company you deal with allows this , most do.

You send the same amount you would normally send, just in two checks

and one a couple weeks early.

If I think of anything else I will let you know.

Hang in there.

First of all let me tell ya about the oxycontin. It is strong stuff

and though you do have to take it twice a day, when i asked if there

was anything better or that I could switch to at one point, the girl

mentioned the avinza, when I talked to my Dr she said that avinza is

a great drug but that once you have been taking the oxy for a long

period of time, it would be really hard to go to a drug like avinza

because it would be a step down in controlling my pain, also the

oxycontin gave me energy, can't explain it but it made me feel not

only pain free but really full of energy like I used to be before the

pain. I don't know, I am just trying to think of something to help

your pain. Oxycontin is also time releases morphine derivative so

they are similiar, they are all basically a morphine based med.

Morphine is a pretty safe drug, though it can have bad reactions on

some people, most do really well with it.

My other suggestion would be to get a medication for breakthrough

pain if your only taking the avinza one time a day, it could be that

it is not quite getting you through the 24 hour period, so that is

where a breakthrough med would come in, something like oxy ir

(oxicodone immediate release) so instead of being time released it is

a now type med, it usually works well to have something like that to

take not on schedule but on an " as needed " baisis. If your in pain,

it sucks the life out of you, makes your life hell, depressing, and

very dark. Once i was able to get that under control so many other

things just fell into place.

anyhow that is just a few ideas, coming from me, with more than I

ever wanted to know knowledge about this crap ha ha. I mean seriously

girl, I never wanted to be a pain pill expert but here i am having

been through them all and I know what worked the best for my worse

pain was that oxy ir/oxycodone combo. Allot of docs don't like that

drug though, they feel it is very addicting. I got off it easily, no

withdrawls really cept some sleeplessness compared to vicodin which

was hell to get off of!

Anyhow I don't know too much bout bankruptcy cept that there was a

time in my life I almost did it and now I am glad I did not. When I

was single in CA I was so poor, it was pathetic, I paid what I could

and some just went by the wayside, it sucked but I had to prioritize

and pay the ones I could and when I got money pay the others, if I

did not make enough then they just did not get paid. I worked as a

unit secretary there in CA and did not make great money at all, so

when a job in the trauma dept openeed up I took it and made about 5

bucks an hour more, but I HATED IT SO MUCH, it was a small office and

very dull. I was very sick though and it was a good place to be when

I went through explant because the woman I worked for new everything

about my illness and was supportive and I did not have 100 people all

noticing that my boobs were gone. I used to even work overtime there,

to make enough to pay bills, all while I was sick. I look back now

and wonder how I did it, but I guess when your back is up against the

wall you do what you have to do.

anyhow it sounds like you will figure something out.

hang in there, and think, only one more month and we can all be

together and really have fun, it will be healing for you girl I know

it will be.

hugs

thanks .

Actually I have never even thought of filing bankruptcy before now- I have always had a good job and so has my hubby. We had debt but never made late payments, etc. I just don't know what to do now that I can't work. If I tried to go back now I don't know how I could make it with all of the pain I have and the brain fog - it is so terrible. My job was very demanding and detail oriented and there is no way... Before I left I was making so many mistakes and crying all the time. Hell, all I do is cry now. Been at it all day - I tried to make an appt earlier w/ a psychiatrist and the soonest anyone can see me is 6 weeks! What do people in crisis do? What a freakin nightmare. I am getting shot down at every corner - if this disability crap would just come through I could stop worrying so much and maybe focus on my health. oh well

love shari
