Guest guest
Well, as we know, hearthburn is a huge problem with adults, especially in America where our eating habits are horrible. On average we are the heaviest for a reason. We have terrible diets. I think anyone with Samters has to be VERY careful with their diets. In fact, to help counter our problem, we must lead healthy lives with a good diet, no alcohol, no smoking and regular exercise. Tom arthritis Do any of you have arthritis? Stomach problems? Guest guest
I am also taking aciphex for GERD. I didn't know I had it. I had no heartburn. My allergist convinced me to try it and that was the end of my night time asthma and extreme chemical sensitivities. I looked up GERD and asthma and found that it is a common cause of hard to treat asthma. Guest guest
I use Glucosamine from Wal-Mart and the Joint Formula and Lyprinex from http://www.lifeplus.com/dominie. After taking the Joint Formula for several weeks, I found that I rarely had to take my arthritis med anymore (Meloxicam). I was concerned that it could eat a hole in my intestinal tract. Both of my parents have had severe gastric bleeds in their later life, so I really didn't want that to happen to me! (The arthritis in my right hand - probably from too much piano playing and typing over the years I'm 56.) Was glad to find some natural alternatives. - Dom > > > I have been having > pain in my neck and > knee. Didn't act like > fibro. Had xrays and > doc said it was > beginning arthritis. Guest guest
I take Osteo Biflex because it is the one most recommended by doctors including Dr. Weil. Usually every week one store in our area will have a sale on it buy one get one free so that is when I get it. I also download coupons from their website. I was able to get off all pain meds thanks to the herbal anti-inflammatory zyflamend and by taking large doses of vitamin D. Dr. Pellegrino tested my levels of vitamin D and found it was very low so I was taking about 6800 IUs a day. Now it is normal so I reduced it to 3800 IUs a day and will have my levels retested in November when I do my hormone level testing. There has been a lot of research into the use of vitamin D in relieving pain and inflammation and it cut my pain levels in half so I was very pleased! I also take rather large doses of magenisum with malic acid which helps my muscle pain. sue in ohio>> > I have been having > pain in my neck and > knee. Didn't act like > fibro. Guest guest
Yes, gout is a form of rheumatism that can be a side effect of statins see this excerpt from a drs. post to another forum: " If you exert yourself beyond the ~20 minutes of ATP stored in the cell, the mitochondrial damage will prevent the oxygen exchange that would normally replenish the muscle cell with energy. The next step is cellular damage, and even cellular death - apoptosis. The body's reaction to apoptosis is to produce a great deal of uric acid, which halts the cell death, but then the crystals form and gout develops. Gout, or inflammation in the joints, is a form of arthritis, which is what rheumatologists address Be very cautious. When the exertion continues, after developing gout, people with statin can damage develop kidney and liver damage and often need gall bladder surgery. Continuing beyond that can result in rhabdomyolysis, which can be life threatening. From our experience, this danger exists even in the 3rd year after discontinuing the statins. You may need to visit several doctors and bring information on statin adverse effects along with you. Too many are unfamiliar with the syndrome, and they tend to deny all possibility, thus making themselves incapable of treating the true cause of the problem. " > > Hi group...Please can you help. Guest guest
My experience with statin " joint " pain was that it was in the muscles, not joints. My arms got so bad I couldn't lift anything above shoulder height and couldn't reach back at all--couldn't put on a jacket! I wondered about an arthritis, but realized that the pain was actually below the joint itself. The pain cleared about 80% in a couple of weeks after getting off of Mevacor, but it took a year to regain full range of motion, and actually able to tie something behind my back. Guest guest
Joanne,You might be sensitive to nightshade vegetables as well as casein. Nightshade includes regular potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, pimentoes and bell peppers. Abook with a silly title but may help you is 3 minutes to a pain-free life by a PT who used it with 30,000 patients. Then I developed arthritis in my hip two years ago which went away shortly after I switched from a diet of mostly plants to a diet of mostly meat.I've given up gluten, which relieved me of longstanding muscle pain, and I'm recovering from hypothyroidism. But now, I'm developing arthritis in my shoulder, which I suspect is a casein intolerance coming to my attention. So I'll be trying a few months off all dairy and see if that helps. Maybe with time and healing of my gut and thyroid I can return to consuming dairy. Right now I just want to work out with my kettle bell, which I can't even lift with my left arm anymore. Guest guest
Thanks , That does help. It's my 3.5 year old who has the arthritis. It keeps 3 toes swollen. They've chronically been that way since she was 1 years old. I want to put some hot and cold compresses on them to help loosen up those toxins in there so they can develop into normal joints/toes. Did you do anything like that or have any suggestions that may help get things moving? Thanks, > > > > Hi Bee, > > > > Is your progam helpful for people who suffer from arthritis? > > > > Thanks, > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi , General movement (walking) along with the good fats she's getting should be enough to keep toxins moving. But if she is having pain, you can mix 50/50 coconut oil and oil of oregano and massage that into her toes. You can also let her sniff the oil of oregano for pain relief. All the best, Group Moderator > > Thanks , > > That does help. It's my 3.5 year old who has the arthritis. It keeps 3 toes swollen.
