,

I heard back from the friend of mine, here is her suggestions.

***

Please let know that the home health agency which I've used for the

past 2 years is VNA (Visiting Nurses of America.) Their number is (407)

262-2299.

Another one which I've used in the past is Nurses PRN. Their number is

(407) 295-9800. Jack is the owner, and a very nice guy. Tell to feel

free to let both agencies know that Hlavek (pronounced La-Vick)

referred her.

I hope they have a great time here. I highly recommend Disney Quest.

/entertainmentindex?id=DDDisneyQuestENT)

It's an interactive , indoor theme park for kids and adults. I'm 32 and had

a blast. It's a 5 story tall building at downtown Disney by Cirque du

Soleil, and is directly across from the House of Blues. On the top floor

are a few eateries. I recommend the pizza and/or spaghetti, but the burgers

and wraps looked yummy too. The price for admission is $30/adults and

$23/kids. You have access for an entire day and evening. You can leave and

reenter as many times as you'd like. I cannot transfer out of my wheelchair

and there were still plenty of things to keep me entertained.

Hope this helps!

Hi Jeanine,

Sounds like you had a wonderful time!! I envy you! I love that part of the

the country and visited Mass. a couple of years ago. Loved Salem and all the

little shops and the coast but never got to go to Maine. We've traveled into

Vermont for an overnite trip but at the time, had no idea where we were going.

We've also been to PA. and the Amish country and loved it but at the time, I

wasn't soaping or even making candles so never looked for anything like that.

Ben and Jerry's.....OMG, talk about being in heaven!!!! I love their ice

cream! Lucky you!!

It sounds like you'll need to take a few days and relax......then get back

to soapmaking!! Thanks for sharing and making me think about a weekend trip!!

We're back from Maine and parts in the NE. What a wonderful time we

had! Ate too much (mostly lobster, drank just enough, and shopped

until that old Visa card was smokin'. LL Bean is great as ever. All

that we had shipped home from last Friday was here yesterday when I

got home from work. Just like Christmas! In fact, alot of what I

bought was for Christmas. Found a new restaurant in Kittery -

Warren's Lobster House (they are also on the 'net

www.lobsterhouse.com) food was superb.

Also got to tour Ben & Jerry's in Vermont (got free samples) and the

Cabot Cheese Annex, also alot of tasting...then on to Vermont Country

Store and then to Bennington. They have a huge antique and craft

complex there called Camelot Village. Sun Feather soaps are featured

in one of the craft shops.

Saw quite a few handcrafted soaps in various shops. Alot of good

ideas and some 'don't do this'. I am ready to go back...

I missed soaping and now have to get ready for some craft shows so

I'll be busy. Hope the humidity goes down!

Glad you all are surviving the heat. Take care.

Me too this week... actually by the time I got a chance to eat dinner this

was all I felt like fixing. My hubby has been such a HUGE help this week. I

d say " Do you mind if..... " that's as far as I'd get. He'd say " Nope, go do

what you have to do. I've got it covered "

Wow I never thought ot that. I leave Monday and that is also the

last week of my challenge. I was all stressed out about how to make

the most of the last week. and I guess I could just end it, but no

time to take pics. HMMM I'm curious to hear what others think, to

end it early or just try your best on the last week. I also will be

in Nevada, but I will be boating in Lake Mead. We will spend one

night at state line for a little gambling and rollercoaster riding

I'll be ending my challenge a week early as well, also due to vacation,

also in Nevada, LOL! It will be my 8th year going to Burning Man and

it's the one time a year I truly don't stress about ANYTHING, so I'm

keeping my expectations of myself low. Plus it's too freaking hot to

move more days than not...Straight into Challenge 2 when I get back

though! I realize it's less than ideal, but I'd rather just decide ahead

of time that I'm going to not worry about it...that way if I do decide

to sneak in some exercise and/or eat well, it's a bonus, but if I don't,

I don't feel like a failure.

Actually I haven't officially entered anything, so no packet. I guess

maybe I should do that next time. I'll be all nice and bloated from

vacationing for my next " before " pictures, LOL!

How awesome! I haven't done much costume-making yet but I'm picking up a

lot of thrift shop oddities...I'm part of a big village and my

contribution is a little costume shop (actually more of a " library " )

where people can come borrow stuff that might be fun to wear.

Oooo, Bridgette, I'm jealous...my hubby wants a Harley so much! I

used to ride around with my first hubby all the time on his

motorcycle and we had such fun times (he died when he was 25 from

cancer). I think it would be fun for my dh to get a Harley, I've

really missed riding around on the bike. Maybe I would even be

inspired to get my own Harley if he gets one ; ) What's fair is

fair, right?!

Hello,

Can you please turn off my mail beginning on Sat. July 24 and reinstate

it on Friday, July 30? Thank you!

I know I haven't been posting but I have been reading all of your

posts. The heartwarming stories of your implantations, turn-ons, and continued

improvement with your cochlear implants is just terrific to read about. To

those of you who are struggling mightily, you are not alone. I am hooked up

for

a year and a half and still struggling to get voice recognition. It IS

better. Each new map brings an improvement in some area and ideas for what to

try the next time. My tolerance for more sound has definately improved.

Psssttt, Trish? If you don't want those weekly appointments at NYU,

give 'em to me! LOL I'm always looking for an excuse to drop in! My next

appointment is August 8. Any chance we might meet? ;)

Hope everyone is getting some time to enjoy the summer months.

September and full schedules will roll around again all too quickly!

Jackie,

I saw someone about a year after I received my implant and struggling with

it. I connected with this person 3 years later and she commented how well I

could hear, so hang in there.
