Guest guest
I have always wanted implants, but I thought they were not safe. Over the last few years, they have become so common you feel as if you are an outsider if you dont have implants! Everyone talks of how safe they are, and I found so little resourses reporting their complications (even my own doctors). I just figured all the kinks were worked out and the saline implants are now safe. I did so much research stating no connection between implants and illness before stumbling upon this website. I know in my heart that I was actually looking for negative information because I knew that cutting open your chest muscles and putting large silicone objects in it just did not sound safe!! But If they weren't safe, I thought I would have heard so much about them. I thought I was just being paranoid. I cannot believe so many women are suffering, and everyone is ignoring this information. It makes me so angry (its still a mans world, I guess). I thank you all because, knowing all of you are out there, and knowing your stories , I am finding it hard to go through with the surgery. I dont want to harm my body and my family. I will probably be depressed because when I thought I was having surgery I kept imagining how my bras, bathing suits, and bedroom confidence would improve(even though Ive been married for 15 years, I don't dress or change in front of my husband because I feel too self conscious.) Thank you, and I hope more women get the information and support that you all gave me before they make their decision. Gratefully, from Jersey
