Guest guest
No I did not take it that way at all, I was just saying that since my health has been so much better I don't believe that my teeth now would be a good indicator of my current situation. I had allot of tooth decay during my pregnancy and it just seemed to get worse with implants. I have had major dental work done in fact it was right before I got my implants in, so for that reason I always wondered if those two root canals had any effect on my system at that time. anyhow i just find it interesting that I have these two new cavities that I can see. I do know that the enamel on my teeth is not good which is why I had the top ones capped because they were so discolored and full of old fillings. So I would not be surprised if somehow the bleach penetrated them and helped make things worse but then again I could be totally wrong about that. I will let you all know what I find out when I next see my dentist this month. hugs C In , " JOSEPH PALANCA " <juliejp61@m...> wrote: >
Guest guest
Patty I never had the dry eyes so much like others have. I had bad allergies and watery eyes and sinus crap after implants but not the dry stuff. My vision seemed messed up to me but all the tests were negative so who knows, I think my stuff was more neurological anyhow. I do have really dry skin now and I KNOW that this is from living in this part of the country. Idaho falls is a funny place, we are right near the mountains and the greenery on one side of town but the dessert is right on the other side, all this sage brush grows right out here. So if it was not for all the farms I think we are really just a desert here too. I know that the air is very dry here compared to where I lived in California but I also know that I like it better in a way than being oily and humidity sucks! I could not live in Florida. My hair would be a frizzy mess! Hee hee. Anyhow honey I never have the dry eyes or the dry mouth or vagina, thank heavens but I do chew allot of gum. It is something I picked up from dieting and quitting smoking and I can go through a pack a day. i chew sugarless but i wonder if there is something in the gum that could still be causing some of these cavities. Anyhow I will see what my dentis has to say when I see him on the 22nd. hugs C In , " *~Patty~* " <fdp@l...> wrote: > You know, I never was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome, but I do remember feeling like my eyes burned, my mouth was drier, I do have much drier everything...hair,skin, vaginal area, everything is just drying up and it bugs me. I know I live in the desert and that probably has alot to do with it, but it also makes sense that the silicone could be an issue for all of us with silicone in us....you all have seen those silica drying packets in everything from vitamins to shoe boxes....it is SILICA, the same stuff they use in our implant shells, so it is not too far a leap to think that our silica may have affected our moisture producing glands in some fashion. I think implants affect more glands than we know--the whole gland system is interrelated, and so many of us have had thyroid problems, not to mention possible adrenal problems, hormonal problems....so the saliva glands are just one more area. I wonder what my next dental workup will look like, I sure don't want any more cavities! > > , can you ask your dentist what he thinks about the bleaching system and if it could promote dental decay? I had my teeth bleached in March, so I am curious. My packet contained carbamide peroxide, not hydrogen peroxide....and he is a holistic dentist, so I think he would be cautious about what is good to use and what is not. > Patty > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: naturalbeauty38 > > Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 12:16 PM > Subject: Re: Tooth decay ???????? > > > Well I don't feel like I am in poor health at all now so I know that > this is something that has to do with my implant illness even though > I am better now I think that these things can take years to develop.I > do believe that the bleaching treatments though can affect the enamal > of the teeth since it causes the sensitivity so that could be part of > it. Guest guest
Vickie your right about the estrogen deficiency causing dryness in the vagina esp. That is why they put women on hormones when you go through menopause. I still think the hormones are kind of scary though with the side effects. I just don't know if it is worth it.It would be interesting though to look into natural remedies. I am taking the breast enhancing herbs so maybe these might be enough to offset that stuff. Interesing for sure. hugs C In , " Vickie " <vickiemsmith17@h...> wrote: >
Guest guest
Patty i never had a cavity till I was 18 years old. I only had until I was 28 and pregnant and then I had one in almost every tooth! Can you believe that. The dentist said my daughter stole all the calcium out of my bones and teeth. I have no idea if this is true but ever since then I have had trouble with my teeth and it was exacerbated with implants. I cannot blame the implants though as I had the issues before big time. I thought that I had finally gotten things under control after my last few visits turned up good but now this obvious decay is upsetting to say the least. I think my best option is to cap as many of my teeth as I can and then care for them really well. I use a sonic care toothbrush that I really like. My niece is the same way, and I just looked at her with my jaw on the ground when she told me, I thought everybody got cavities! I only had 4, so I felt pretty happy, but I did have braces, (icky!) I hope your mouth stays healthy after all you've been through, and with Dr. Mercola, I am sure you've got a great chance. > Patty > ----- Original Message ----- > From: JOSEPH PALANCA > > Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 8:03 AM > Subject: Re: Tooth decay ???????? > > > I dont know about implant disease and teeth, but I do know from Dr Mercola that how your teeth are and most importantly how they are currently functioning (like if you are having a period of cavities on one year) shows him alot about your health. > > Dr Mmerocla checks all his new patients teeth , 1st thing. He has said the ones with root canals, and many previous caivites, he knows wont do as well as the other patients with good teeth-as that means that they havent damaged their immune systems to the point of it showing up in their teeth. He believes your teeth are an inward look into your immune system. And say alot! > > I know this to be true. I didnt have one cavity at all, my whole life. If I can compliment myself, I have never had braces, and have perfect straight white teeth. It shocked my dentist my whole life that I never had a single cavity! Anyway, about 2 yrs ago when I was coming down with Ra and HAshimtos, I got my first cavity , and also 2 more in 6 months! And my gums started to hurt. However since detox, and explant, on my last visit- not one. > > Another thing, look at how hard pregnancy is on womens bodies, and the old saying is " for every child a tooth is lost, " as alot of women lose teeth for the 1st time, or more so after pregnancy. This goes with the old theory how are teeth are the 1st thing affected by poor health. > > Love nna
