I could never sleep another night or laugh another laugh if it was I who implanted women. How can anybody be so greedy and heartless.

Oh but there is a lot of humanity left in the world, maybe less so among the medical world and in politics etc. Just look at all the warm and wonderful ladies here, supporting each other. There are a lot more good guys than ones. Call me naive, maybe I simply have to believe that...

Thanks, Sunday!

It's all for the money.

If you noticed, the class-action lawsuit brought by some 450,000 women was against the manufacturers NOT THE SURGEONS! The PSs know they make us sick. They just pretend they don't know. I do not care what anyone else says about this. I work in the legal industry and I see it every single day. They play stupid BIG TIME! The PSs can keep getting away with the big lie cuz they know they'll not be held accountable, so they do it to line their pockets with lots and lots of $$$ The don't give a crap about other human beings period!!!! If they did, after all the fuss from women in the past, they'd actually take the time to delve into the subject and studied it period!!!!!!!!!!

There is little, if any, humanity left in this world anymore.......so sad.

If only... indeed.

I just don't understand how ps (that is plural) can go on implanting. The whole idea of implanting seems quite perverse to me now. It is (was for me) disabling enough to place implants under pec muscles. But making people sick and knowing that it is quite likely that they will become very ill! It is absolutely beyond my comprehension.

And I wonder how and when they update their knowledge and if explant is part of their curriculum.

Somehow I cannot imagine it is, especially not with such fineries as en bloc.

You will feel so much better when you have got them out. As I wrote in earlier posts, lots of "little" but rather annoying things went away right after explant. And the relief was absolutely tremendous. I still have some problems, but I function a lot better. Today I was sort of dancing in the garden as some music was playing inside, and I saw my reflection in the window - I could move and stretch like I haven't done for what seems years.

I hope you get sorted out and better soon, the sooner the better.

Hi, Sunday:

I still have them. I'm working on it, though!

I was implanted in 1993. The only concern back then was that the skin in the sternum are would separate and the implants MIGHT meet in the middle making one big boob. I had to sign a consent form saying I was warned about that possibly happening......other than that, nothing else!

I specifically remember asking my PS

"I've heard that implants have hurt women in the past but I know nothing about it. Will these implants hurt me in anyway?"

He said, "No. The ones that make women sick are filled with silicone. These are the safe saline ones. They won't make you sick." I said, "So silicone made them sick?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Well, isn't the bag made of silicone?"

HE NEVER ANSWERED ME! He just paused for a moment, silent, then changed the subject.

If only.....................

did anybody tell you it would be like this? I don't think it mentioned these things on

MY consent form.

I am confused - you still have your implants...?

The pain in feet traveling up to your knees ( I have that too...........so AWFULL!!!!!) is called peripheral neuropathy, which, in essence, is carpal and tarsel tunnel.

My joint pain was minimal until recently. Now my knees are awful but my hand are the worst......mostly in the morning. I have to run hot water on them and move them slowly .. open, closed, open, closed, until the stiffness goes away. Then I'm good to go. My knees sometimes feel stiff and ricketie...difficult to bend or squat.

My tail bone hurts if I sit too long.

My elbows bother me sometimes then sometimes they don't. They can actually hurt to the touch as well as when I move them or am just laying down or walking around.....whatever I do, they'll just hurt, shooting-like or stabbing like pain.

THANK GOD you are better Sunday.........that's the best news! So glad you can ride your bike again :-)

Kim,

I still have this in my hands and feet. I am better since explant but some days I am still really bad with throbbing pains in my ankles, particularly after walking too much but also just so. When it was very bad the pain travelled up to my knees. It seems to be related to the swollen hands and fingers and sore feet in the morning.

Similar to Patti when I sit still in a position for a longer amount of time some joints go all stiff and then are painful. I am 42 and before explant felt like 96 with these symptoms.

Now I am able to go on my bike again, before explant I didn't have the strength in my hands because of all the swelling etc.

Doing things with my hands (even at the computer) and walking made it all much worse, almost unbearable. I am much better now.

Kim,

For me, joint pain was pain in my hands and knuckles that kinda throbbed or made my hands stiff. I also noticed it in my shoulders, elbows and neck, mostly pain where I had been sitting in a position for a long time and tried to move. I realized this happened when I would lay on the floor kinda reclining on my elbow while playing with the kids and when I went to move, it was very painful! I don't really have it in my legs, but definitely in my upper body. My neck used to be so painful that I could hardly lift my head off the pillow to turn over.

But mostly it was in my hands, and it went away after my first 3 day fast. The joint pain went away almost immediately and I really have not had it in my hands since then.

Patty
