How did everyone who had explant do with those drains.....8 days in and they removed them yesterday. It was not very nice!!! Can I say ouch. I believe the scar tissue starting forming around the suckers....but I had a lot of shrinking to do since they removed 550cc implants.......Otherwise I am feeling great. I am still having breathing problems and achiness with stairs, but overall I am thinking much clearer now...I must say that Dr. Lee did an incredible job, though I am black and blue and yellow, everything looks great and my even husband says I look much better and healthier. ... Hi Lena,

Still feeling great, two weeks+ after explant.

Many symtoms disappeared, the joint pain is still here and flares up in an ugly way.

I am also enjoying the freedom of not having those darn things under my pecs anymore.

You sound a lot or even better than I after explant. Less than 24 later I was out shopping!

And I got cabin fever in the hotel, just had to go out and move. The relief of of having those

things out was something else.

Do you have drains?

May you heal up quickly and be healthy!

I am so glad for you that you are feeling so relieved! I also felt that my explant was the easiest thing I had ever went through, even though surgery took over 6 hours. I felt so at peace to have those things out. And I healed fabulously! Next day we were driving home, a straight 15 hours, non stop. And I went back to work, three days after surgery. No pain at all, just sore.I am so happy for you, and wish you a speedy recovery to renewed health! nna

, triple ouch for one made me almost want to keep the other one in for good. Second one was ok in comparison. Luckily I had my drains only for three days and not 8! I lied just a little to the nurse about the amount that was coming out as I had to fly home and didn't want to do it with the drains. Feels good to have them out, doesn't it?

So that's what it what I have on one side - scar tissue from the drains? Well.

Hey, it must feel great to be rid of all that weight. I am glad you like your the outcome and feel a bit better.

I too was told I looked so much healthier...

Hello ,

I'm glad to hear you are doing better. Hopefully your joint paint

will permanently go away too. I didn't have drains after all, though

my doctor originally thought she was going to need to. I guess I

barely bled and the capsules came out easily. I hope that turns out

to be ok, although so far I have no bruising or swelling. It really

is amazing. I will pray that your joint pain disappears and that you

and all of us will fully recover our health. Take good care of

yourself!

Hi ,

I had my implants for 10 years. Before them I was healthy and very

active, and maybe it's not related, but after getting them within

the next few years i had to have gallbladder

removal, appedectomy, hysterectomy with ovary removal (and bladder

repair with endometriosis surgery before the eventual hysterectomy.)

Recently I was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome, Reynauds

symptomology, and I'm being closely monitored by a rheumatologist

for lupus and other autoimmune diseases. Coincidentally, my eyes

haven't been dry for the past two days and I've not had swollen

lymph nodes and teeth pain that has been really bothering me. My

joint pain is also not present. I'm afraid to say it's gone- I don't

want to jinx it! Maybe I will get better. It seems awfully soon for

that to happen, but I can honestly say I feel better now than I have

in years. I know that all of those illnesses listed above are hard

to believe, but it's true. I am only 34 years old, so that is why my

doctor pressed me to have them removed to see if it would alleviate

some problems. I pray that you and all of the rest of us regain our

health soon. I'm sorry this letter is written so poorly- my writing

isn't up to snuff yet. :P

Take Care,

Lena

Lena,

your symtoms! And now you are already a lot better. Great...

My dry eyes disappeared with explant, too. A nice feeling!

I agree. Sorry to write a book with the symptoms. :P Maybe my body

is just a lemon anyway, but either way it sure feels great to have

those things out of my body.

Patty,

Hi. Yes, I'm certain my scar capsules were removed. I saw a copy of

the surgery report and the implants are being sent for lab testing

because my insurance company had to pay for the surgery and they

demanded that the implants be removed en bloc with capsules removed.

> Lena,

> Are you absolutely certain your p/s took out the scar capsules?

Make sure you get a copy of your operative report and look for the

wording that describes this part of the surgery.
