Congratulations on your upcoming explant! I hope you will feel comfortable sharing with us some of your experiences with your implants and how you decided to go for explant, but I can tell you without knowing much about your situation that you are doing the right thing. There's not much to be scared about, really, although I was very frightened at the prospect of another surgery too, but it really isn't that bad. You will recover faster from explant than from implant.

Who is doing your surgery? Make sure you are getting a total capsulectomy! Sending healing thoughts and prayers...
