Guest guest
nyDo not and I repeat DO NOT just up a quit those kind of meds. When your Dr. thinks it's time, he/she will decrease them. By Oct of 2009, I was up to a 20 mg and a 40mg of Celexa and Dr. put me on Wellbutrin; but, added it. Like you, I was already planning on getting off them. Well, wham, first part of the new year, I find out I have liver cancer. By that time, I had cut out the Wellbutrin. So along I went through everything including the break up of my marriage and a husband that seemed absolutely hateful after 21 yrs. However, it was not until he suddenly passed away that I felt any need for more anti-depressants. So the Dr. prescribed a low dose of the Wellbutrin again. However, when we heard the news about my baby brother, my prescription was up and I had to see the GP that day or have a breakdown. That's when she upped the Wellbutrin. Like I said to the Dr., I just can't be a basket case when my mother is going to need me the most. This is her baby that is dying!!So, maybe if I get like 2 months in a row where things are manageable, I'll think about weaning off the pills; but, not before.Gloria Hi Don, of course :)yes I am starting to realize the less strain as possible on the liver!I don't understand about the adverse effects of the meds, but I will look into this. I think all the pills go through the liver, right?I would also like to decrease my meds!banans help you sleep? I eat so many bananas everydaythanks so much for the links, I will check these tonightHugs, nyOn Jan 24, 2011, at 4:39 PM, Christ wrote:
Guest guest
No, these aren't drugs you can just stop taking.. you have to be weaned off of them... Just suddenly stopping them can cause seizures. ny, the valium that is thrown in this mix scares me... along with the pain killers. Does the psych doctor know you are taking the pain killers at night... along with the sleeping meds and the valium?
