You would think it would be a lesson learned. But, nope!! I used to say that my Higher Power had to use a sledge hammer to get my attention. You know, first it was the little nudge and I blew it off. Then it would be slam so bad that you would actually stumble. Still I wouldn't learn. So then the baseball came out!! Today I can only hope that I get the message as least by the stumble part, cause the baseball bat or the hammer really hurts.Gloria Gloria,What an outlook! I'd never heard it expressed that way, but I find myself taking exits also from the path I should be on. Whenever I exit it dead ends in the slums and swamps, and I have to hack my way out of the jungle and mobs to get back onto the right path. Then when I get there and sailing is smooth again, I look around and say "What the hell was I thinking?"Of course, I wasn't really thinking, just doing my own thing (self-will). When I think of others, or particularly when I'm helping others, the path is so much easier, but every once in awhile the psychotic pioneer has to strike out on his own...not as often lately, eventually even the bull-headed learn...hopefully.SteveLife is much more fun when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.
